To be clear: Some facts are neither in dispute nor unclear. Our photographer was clearly marked as Press. She was clearly beaten. These are not partisan or risible statements, but indisputable. We urge a thorough investigation and accountability.
The Prime Minister’s Office:
The facts surrounding the confrontation near Abu Falah, during which Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was allegedly assaulted, remain unclear and are under investigation.
Israel unequivocally condemns violence against anyone—Jews, Arabs, Christians or journalists. Those responsible will be held accountable.
But serious questions remain. Reports indicate some 200 Arabs and far-left activists confronted approximately 40 Israeli youths. Footage shows masked individuals on both sides hurling objects, amid reports of fireworks fired at Jewish youths. Other footage appears to show Levine knocked down and immediately helped to her feet by the same unidentified individual.
The investigation must establish the facts, including who initiated the violence.
We will not allow disputed incidents to be exploited to demonize the hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria.
The facts must determine the conclusions. Not the headlines.

Masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian villagers on Friday, setting olive groves on fire and slinging rocks.
Caught in the attack was Post photographer Heidi Levine. “They just kept kicking me and kicking me, like probably 50 times,” Levine said. wapo.st/4yt6dHY

With Israel’s election two weeks away, Lesley Stahl travels to the West Bank, where militant Israeli settlers have carried out violent attacks against the Palestinians, often with impunity. The Israeli government is showing an unwillingness to crack down on the violence.

David Milstein, a top aide to Mike Huckabee and the stepson of right-wing radio host Mark Levin, has suppressed and rewritten reports from the US embassy in Israel to falsely frame Israel in a more positive light, the NYT reports.
After dozens of Palestinians were killed near food distribution sites in Gaza in 2025, Milstein took reporting describing the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation's system as chaotic and deadly and made edits to say it was a success.
After an American citizen of Palestinian heritage was killed in the West Bank, embassy staff wrote a report showing that, in most cases, investigations into settler killings had made little progress and that no one had been charged. "Instead of forwarding the report, Mr. Milstein argued that the embassy should send a letter saying that Israel was properly handling the investigations, two officials briefed on the discussions said."

ICE not only allows but encourages the use of ruses (like wearing high visibility vests or hard hats), and there are very few legal limits on what federal agents can do in this regard. Efforts to restrict the use of ruses have gone nowhere in the Republican-controlled Congress

⚡ 68 lightning flashes PER MINUTE.
That’s what we measured at the peak of Thursday night’s violent DC storm — more than one flash per second. A typical thunderstorm peaks near 10 per minute.
Add 60-70 mph wind gusts and blinding rain, and this was no ordinary storm.
We dug into the data to explain exactly why it became so intense — and whether it was a derecho:

The destruction of Palestinian homes in the West Bank is not a matter of rogue settlers in isolated incidents. It is a coordinated operation legitimized by Israeli law & protected by Israeli soldiers.
This will not end until we stop sending aid & weapons used to kill civilians.

ALT Quote by Prime Minister Mark Carney: The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontari’io, which, appropriately, means “the lake is beautiful, the lake is big”. The name is more than 400 years old, predating both the Confederation of Canada and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms. Canadians also know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario – then, now and always.

The forcible and unauthorised entry of Israeli forces into UNRWA’s Kalandia Training Centre is deeply alarming and threatens access to education and training for young #Palestine Refugees.
Their opportunities and future must be protected.

We are deeply disturbed by reports of the arrest of Dr Dima Mohammed Amin, a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology, from her home in the West Bank, Palestine. Dr Dima is the latest victim in Israel's systematic campaign of hunting down and detaining Palestinian medics.
She joins Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, Dr Iyad Al-Rantisi, Dr Mohammed Obeid and scores of others in arbitrary Israeli detention. They have not been charged with any offence; they were simply treating patients. That is not a crime.
We demand the immediate and unconditional release of all healthcare workers arbitrarily detained by Israeli forces.

We strongly condemn the Israeli military prosecutor’s account of the deaths of our seven colleagues on April 1, 2024. And we fundamentally disagree with their decision about criminal investigations into the IDF airstrikes that killed our team.

Israel didn’t just “fire on a car”, the Red Cross told them 5-year-old Hind was in that car. IDF gave permission to an ambulance to enter the area, then ambushed & bombed that ambulance, shot 355 bullets at Hind’s car, prevented anyone from reaching her body for 12 days & lied about it for 2 years saying “we never even had troops in that area” despite satellite images & audio recordings proving they were lying!
The Israeli military acknowledged firing on a car carrying 5-year-old Hind Rajab in Gaza after earlier denials as it opens a criminal probe into the January 2024 killing. cnn.it/3U6I6jU
