From 12 November, Anthropic's rules for Claude say: if it helps decide something about a person's job, money, health or legal rights, a qualified human stays in the loop and that person is told AI was used. Using AI to screen CVs or approve requests? Build the sign-off and the notice in now.

Free Gemini on a personal account now sends most prompts to Google's lightest model, Flash-Lite. Leave it on Auto, the new default, and the harder ones can still get Flash or Pro. Switch smart model selection off and everything stays on Flash-Lite.

GPT-6 is now in every ChatGPT account, free ones included, and answers can come back as charts, buttons and small calculators you use right inside the chat. For most people using it at work, that matters more than the new model.

Atlassian is now running OpenAI's models inside Jira and Confluence. A week earlier it was on Anthropic's launch page saying Claude makes its agents up to 30% faster. If your company runs on Jira, you get both. The model picking is being done for you.

As a heavy Claude user, the speed jump is real. Sonnet 5.5 and even Opus 5.5 answer me much quicker now, and both feel far more human to talk to, which makes them easier to work with. What Anthropic doesn't have yet is one do-everything assistant. My bet is it's coming soon.

If you use a personal ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini account for anything work related, your chats can end up training the next model. One switch in each app turns it off. Two minutes, worth it.

If you use a free personal Gemini account for work, Thursday it drops to Google's smallest model, 3.5 Flash-Lite. The $4.99 plan loses Pro. Company Workspace accounts aren't affected. For anything you'd send to a client or your boss, $19.99 is now the floor for Gemini's good models on a personal account.
