On this day in 1989, an armed gunman who said he was "fighting feminism", murdered 14 women & injured 10 other women and four men at École Polytechnique de Montréal.
The massacre led to stronger gun control laws in Canada & changes to emergency procedures.

Considering it was a comedy show, this scene is one of the most gut-wrenchingly emotional things I've ever seen on TV.
The writing, the acting, the concept... everything about it was just perfect.
And so desperately, desperately sad...
34 years ago this month (November 1989) the last ep of #Blackadder Goes Forth was shown. The brilliant series ended with this moving scene, cementing the legend of the comedy.
