We came to this island to do two things.
First, to build a microschool for our own kids—to show them that learning doesn’t have to be tied to one place.
Second, to tackle a real problem. Right now, this island imports all of its food. Every meal arrives by boat. But the land is fertile, and we believe this is something kids can help solve—together.
Today is day one. Our kids are meeting the local kids for the first time. The goal is simple: – Build real relationships and start something meaningful.
We’ll see how it goes.

@darylaustinUT @Forbes
Montessori keeps showing up as more than an instructional method; it ties to well-being and emotional outcomes, including stress reduction for kids. Instead of standing at the front of the classroom and teaching all students the same lesson, Montessori-trained teachers act more as guides and learning facilitators.
