It would be great if all the conservationists/naturalists or just folk in the know, could get behind our 2 hectare heathland restoration plan by liking and reposting this. Please show that it matters as much to someone miles away as it does to someone locally! #conservation

We had a brilliant moth recording event at @BeckenhamPark in partnership with @BppRanger. Amazing to record over 20 moth species from one night including Gypsy Moth below with its huge antennae. We supplied a moth trap so local volunteers can start doing regular recording.

We did a #BigButterflyCount with some volunteers today at Beckenham Place Park when the sun popped out ☀️
I was so happy to see two of my favs! The Brown Argus (not featured in the Count but recorded via iRecord Butterflies app) and the Small Copper @savebutterflies 😍🦋 – at Lewisham, London
World Ranger Day concluded yesterday with a quiz night! Thanks to all who attended and the £250.50 raised, which will be donated to @TGLFUK @ThinGreenLine_ #WorldRangerDay @BeckenhamPark
Today is World Ranger Day, I am privileged to work for Lewisham in BPP. But it is a day to remember that other rangers around the world have a tough time looking after nature and the environment and too many don't always come home. @LewishamCouncil @BeckenhamPark #WorldRangerDay – at Lewisham, London

We kicked off our #LoveParks Week with a Saturday volunteer balsam bash in the Wet Woodland. This invasive plant spreads very quickly due to its ability to launch seeds up to 7m causing it to block out other plants. @KeepBritainTidy @BeckenhamPark – at Lewisham, London

Thank you to all the volunteers that rocked up to Beckenham Place Park on Sunday. You helped to remove litter from the River Ravensbourne. It looks much cleaner now. Like what you see? Get involved in our community-based river events. More details: thames21.org.uk/events/

On the final day of #VolunteersWeek I must give a shout our to the incredible bunch of volunteers we have here at BPP, they bring so much to the park with all their activities, it wouldn't be the same without them. @BeckenhamPark #LoveBPP – at Ealing, London
Yesterday I was in the Lake (I don't think this is what the lake users normally wear!) Doing a monitor of some habitats, lots if invertebrates underwater and plenty of birds on the surface. Really nice to see. #LoveBPP – at Lewisham, London
Today with colleagues from @Thames21 we got stuck into #LondonRiversWeek with a volunteer litterpick in the River Ravensbourne. #LoveBPP – at Ealing, London
