To me it seems like the difference between me shooting a bottle rocket from my back deck and having it land on top of the Eiffel Tower vs shooting a bottle rocket into my neighbor's dog house.
Color me jaded but given that @NASA was able to land EXACTLY where they wanted ON MARS (after 7 MONTHS of space travel across 160 MILLION MILES) and achieved that over 20 YEARS AGO, doesn't it seem like landing on our own moon should now be a job for NASA's summer interns?
