The Dataing team strongly believes in open-source, local AI that is used to support human relationships, not replace.
Users should own their data, and personal intelligence should increasingly run on their own devices, if they choose.
We believe open models will eventually win because they leverage the composability of software, builders build on top of each other, creating an ecosystem that attracts the most cracked, mission-driven talent.
Here are some updates on our Local Model:
1 - Dataing Local is now a real Mac app that runs AI directly on your device.
2 - Cupid can build a private People Map by connecting people you mention to your Contacts and one-to-one Messages, with everything reviewable and undoable.
3 - Cupid can understand more of your world locally, including selected photos, Calendar, Messages, and activity, without sending that sensitive context to the cloud.

Frankly this is a huge part of the issue. Many men don't have someone they trust, or are too embarrassed to ask

A while ago, I posted on here that I would help men get dates/find relationships by cleaning up their dating profile & helping with initial messages for $500.
Like OP below, my one rule was that you have to be open to brutally honest feedback. I was half joking, but several guys took me up on the offer.
Of those guys. 1 is now married, 1 is engaged and 2 in serious relationships. 1 other guy who ended up meeting a girl outside of my direct coaching but after we had discussed some tips also DMed me recently to tell me he’s been in a relationship for over a year & is planning engagement with her.
I sometimes wonder how much of the singlehood epidemic is just men who don’t have even one close female friend or relative who will help them understand how women think & how to talk to women.
Honestly, I wish I had more time to devote to this. I believe there’s a serious business opportunity for someone who does.

There have been older dating apps that later retrofitted AI into their products, and newer companies taking AI in different directions.

They are also rolling out a few new features, including only selling your data with your consent, sharing the profits generated from that data, and permanently deleting your data when you delete your account. Given that Big Tech already monetizes your data without your permission, this model may be less profitable for the company, but it's the honest and ethical thing to do.
