No match for the D team last night in the Main League (we had a bye due to an odd number of teams in the Division) but great wins for the rest of the club:
A team beat University A 3-2
B team beat @ChessAlwoodley A 3-2
C team beat Alwoodley D 3.5-1.5
Well done everyone!
Draws for the A & C teams, and wins for the B and D teams (both by 3-2) - great results!

Wins for the Mini League (3-2) and the Rapid 1 (3.5-2.5) teams, but an unfortunate whitewash defeat for Rapid 2.
The Mini League victory was significantly influenced by a brilliant knight sacrifice by John G to win his opponent's queen. Excellent stuff!
Mini League and Rapid play tonight!
In the Mini League we visit Leeds CC
In the Rapid, team 1 visit @RoseForgroveCC and team 2 host @ChessAlwoodley
Good luck, everyone!

Congratulation to Paul who came back from 2 pawns down in his game to win it, and wins the Norman Ellis competition with a score of 4.5 out of 5! 🏆
Final round of the Ken Appleby (<1700) and Norman Ellis (Open) individual tournaments tonight.
With club captain Paul currently joint top of the Ellis standings on 3.5 out of 4, there's a strong chance for another trophy for a Boston Spa player!
Good luck everyone!
Sadly having lost the toss and being outgraded on every board, our cup run ends with a 2-1 defeat.
Good luck to the University team in the final!
