ALT The recent Supreme Court ruling on the termination of Haitian and Syrian TPS is an injustice. Turning our backs on people who came to the United States in search of safety, fleeing countries where they may be targeted for violence, human rights abuses, humanitarian crises or natural disasters is far from the ideals upon which this country was founded. For now, TPS protections for Haiti and Syria remain in effect. The district court must still issue an order before the termination can take effect, and we expect that process to take approximately 30 days.
