🚨🚨🚨 NOOIT HET EU VETO RECHT AFSCHAFFEN!
Von der Leyen wil het veto verder afschaffen. Dan zijn we geen land meer, maar een Europese provincie: bestuurd door ongekozen Brusselse ambtenaren, met de Nederlandse belastingbetaler als pinautomaat voor Zuid-Europese spilzucht en ideologisch wanbeleid. Minder zeggenschap, meer technocratische controle.
De invoering van de euro was een Franse eis voor de hereniging van Oost- en West-Duitsland na de val van de Berlijnse Muur.
De euro waarvoor geldt: One Size Fits None. Maar Frankrijk vierde feest. Frankrijk heeft zich sinds de invoering van de euro zelden aan het Stabiliteits- en Groeipact gehouden. Het tekort zat de meeste jaren boven de 3 procent; de schuld zat rond 60 procent bij de start in 1999 maar is direct daarna opgelopen en is inmiddels circa 115 procent van het bbp.
December 2020 lunchte ik met Macron en sprak mijn grote zorg uit over de inflatie want ik zag Nederlands spaargeld en pensioenen verdampen. Dat interesseerde Macron echt helemaal niks want die zag door de inflatie de Franse schulden verdampen.
Het pact was bedoeld om na de invoering van de euro begrotingsdiscipline af te dwingen. Boetes zijn nooit opgelegd ondanks deze grove schendingen.
Wat nog zorgwekkender is: het Franse tekort blijft rond de 5 procent, de schuld stijgt door, en markten prijzen Frans papier soms al riskanter dan Italiaans vanwege politiek en begrotingstrend.
De Commissie en de ECB hebben die ontsporing jarenlang laten lopen.
Sterker nog, de Française Christine Lagarde werd tot ECB-voorzitter gekroond, zelfs nadat een Franse rechtbank haar in 2016 had veroordeeld voor nalatigheid in de Tapie-zaak (404 miljoen euro). Geen fraude, geen straf, geen strafblad, maar wel een promotie.
De rekening van de Franse tekorten komt uiteindelijk bij belastingbetalers en spaarders terecht. Ook hier in Nederland, nadat Rutte III via een geitenpaadje akkoord ging met gemeenschappelijke schuld via het coronaherstelfonds. Gemeenschappelijke schulden zijn niet toegestaan volgens het EU-Verdrag.
De rente die we samen betalen ligt hoger dan wat Nederland zelf zou betalen.
Daarom nooit meer Eurobonds of andere gemeenschappelijke schulden.
De Franse begroting is al jaren structureel uit het lood. Ongeveer een kwart van de overheidsuitgaven gaat al naar pensioenen omdat de Fransen daar in een omslagstelsel nooit voor gespaard hebben zoals wij Nederlanders.
Die kosten lopen verder op naarmate meer Fransen met pensioen gaan. En door lage geboortecijfers wordt het steeds moeilijker om deze schulden houdbaar te houden en de rentelasten dragelijk te houden.

🇷🇴 I’ve been deeply uncomfortable with the Călin Georgescu story from the beginning.
He WON THE MOST VOTES in Romania’s 2024 presidential first round. That election was then ANNULLED.
Now, before being convicted of anything, he is behind bars.
A lower court initially rejected prosecutors’ request to detain him for 30 days and imposed judicial controls instead. Prosecutors appealed, and the Bucharest Court of Appeals reversed that decision.
Georgescu denies the fraud allegations against him.
Maybe prosecutors have evidence that ultimately justifies what they’re doing. I’m not pretending to know what a court hasn’t yet decided.
But this is precisely when presumption of innocence has to MEAN SOMETHING.
Not when the defendant is popular or sympathetic.
When he is politically radioactive, and the power of the state is being used against him.
What are these right for if they can just take them from you as easily?!

The shape of the world's oceans that endlessly lap our shores is a direct result of an ancient, deep-Earth system—controlled by the planet’s own thermodynamic and geological engine.
Oceans have never been just a featureless, static backdrop. The ocean's mood swings have always shifted over deep time, driven by the physics of changing water mass, fluid density and the evolving geometry of the ocean basins themselves.
These fundamental mechanisms lie far from sight below the waves, and largely ignored. We do track surface weather, yet remain blind to deep-ocean density, tectonic shifts, and the long-term cooling of undersea crustal plates. Science has better topographical maps of the surface of Mars than of our ocean floors—or the motions of deep currents carrying planetary heat upwards from the tropics.
These adjustments unfold over very long timelines, from seasonal cycles to hundreds of millions of years. Overall sea level is governed by natural variations in mass, thermal changes in the Earth's crust and regional dynamics.
While the Earth's total water budget is fixed, its distribution is in constant flux. During glacial periods, water is frozen in huge ice sheets kilometres thick, directly lowering ocean levels. During warmer interglacial periods, thermal energy returns meltwater to the seas.
On geological timescales, sea levels are dictated by the physical capacity of the ocean basins. At mid-ocean ridges, new crust is continuously formed by upwelling magma. When tectonic activity accelerates, these underwater mid-ocean mounts expand, swell, and displace immense volumes of water.
Conversely, at deep-sea trenches, older, denser crust plunges back into the mantle. Over millions of years, the buckling of the crust builds mountain ranges while deep ocean trenches alter the basin's shape and holding capacity.
As newly formed oceanic crust moves away from spreading mid-ocean ridges, it cools, grows denser and sinks—a process of thermal subsidence that continually deepens the ocean floor.
The water itself expands and contracts continuously, adjusting sea levels as water density fluctuates with temperature and salinity.

▸ The war in Iran closed Hormuz. But it was the Commission that committed Europe to a proxy war in Ukraine, with sanctions and rearmament.
▸ EU defence spending 2026: €454 billion — +75.3% since 2021
▸ Rearm Europe plan: €800 billion to be spent by 2030.
▸ European Court of Auditors, 10 September 2026:
🔴 “Four years after its launch, REPowerEU has stalled, even though several hundred billion euros have been made available.”
▸ “The plan undermines the clean energy transition, lacks proper governance.”
▸ The paradox:
Europe pays €100 billion extra to import the same fossil fuels.
Meanwhile, it spends €454 billion on rearmament.
And the Commission proposes joint gas purchases — the same Commission that created the crisis.
⚖️ VERDICT
This is not an energy crisis. It is a political crisis.
Von der Leyen admits the bill: €100 billion, +140% on gas, diesel doubled.
But she does not say who signed the sanctions, who financed the war, who pushed the rearmament.
Brussels bureaucrats don’t pay the bills. Households do.
❓ If the Commission created the crisis, can it really solve it?
