I've made so many memories during that past 4 vidcons. The con itself has gotten worse and more corporate every year, losing what made vidcon special in the first place. 2026 had so much ai bullshit that NO ONE liked at all and this just seems like doubling down on business shit
Looks like VidCon is done.
Hopeful for the future, but this press release feels extremely corporate. The exact opposite of what VidCon represents in my opinion.
It's never been about the creators.
It's always been about the fans.
