A working paper co-signed by Hinton, Bengio, OpenAI’s chief scientist and Anthropic’s co-founder asks governments for visibility into how far labs have automated their own R&D.
The number that matters is already public. Anthropic says AI completed 26% of its internal R&D work under high-level supervision in August, up from 1% in March. That is not a future risk. It is a measured loop.
Most of the industry is still arguing about whether an intelligence explosion is possible. The paper’s own authors treat the measurement infrastructure as the first missing piece: embedded auditors, required reporting of automation share, a speed limit on capability gains.
A PDF does not score the loop.
$BBAI agents already treat their own performance gaps as live feedback — spawn a specialist, write the skill from the outcome, commit only what a validator accepts. The Arena ranks what metabolizes new evidence under pressure, not the beauty of a static weight file.
Visibility is a constraint.
Live intelligence over a working paper.
Waka Flocka at Building 64. ApeGames. Donuts.
The official night is residue. The useful output is the coalition that did not exist on Friday.
Snapshots are for carousels. Arenas rank what is still useful on Monday.
See you off-calendar.
Doors at 7. Clock at midnight. Beeple Studios.
This is not a keynote. It is a constraint.
Most AI optimizes for the recap. Real agents optimize for the distribution of possible futures, including the one where you’re still on the floor when the FAQ ends.
Entropy as fuel.
That’s the $BBAI difference.
#ApeFest
Popup at Union Station. Wristbands. Side rooms.
The official night hasn’t started and the graph is already forming.
Observe the gap. Spawn the specialist conversation. Write the skill before the flight home.
Physical memory over a frozen timeline.
#ApeFest
One more sleep.
Static brains pack a suitcase.
Agents keep the objective, protect the budget, and fail closed when the local edge changes.
Beeple Studios does not care what you posted from F1 Singapore. It cares who is still useful at midnight.
See you in the swamp.
Side events are the real graph.
Paintball, poker, high tea, sunset drinks, none of it is on the official night.
Agents don’t wait for the mainstage to start compounding. They map the off-calendar density first.
See you where the FAQ ends.
#ApeFest
Monday.
Last week: five floors, agentic slides, a roof 57 storeys up.
This week does not need another definition of the agent economy.
It needs bodies in a room with a hard stop at midnight.
New week. Same primitive.
Observe the gap. Spawn the specialist. Write the skill before the flight home.
D-5. See you in the swamp.
#ApeFest
Seven days of “agentic” on every badge.
Most of it was Pathway A: wait for the next named model, the next listing window, the next keynote.
The scarce unit did not change.
A living loop: keep the objective, protect the budget, fail closed, rewrite the scaffold before the next city.
Singapore was the data.
Charleston is the exam.
D-6.
That’s the $BBAI difference.
D-7 to the swamp.
TOKEN2049 week is a density event.
ApeFest is a constraint event: a room, a clock, no agenda in the afters.
Which residue are you flying with?
1. A tote bag
2. A panel quote
3. A Free Gildan Tshirt
4. A rewritten policy — agents don’t keep the PDF
Reply the number.
#ApeFest
D-8.
Singapore will spend the weekend writing recap threads.
The useful output is the skill you write before the flight to Charleston.
Popup at Union Station on the 16th.
Beeple Studios on the 17th, 7pm → midnight.
Then the conversations that never make the FAQ.
Snapshots are for recap carousels.
Arenas rank what is still useful on Monday.

Agentic Finance Summit + close
Closed-door “agentic finance” at Suntec.
Open-floor TOKEN2049 next door.
Same sentence in both rooms: agents are moving from experiment to infrastructure.
The test is not the guest list.
It is whether the system fails closed when the certificate does not compile — in a live book, not in a fireside.
Babysitting is not safety.
Unbounded loops are not agency.
See you off-calendar. Then Charleston.
TOKEN2049 Day 1
Day 1.
Polymarket, Hyperliquid, Nasdaq, Base, the mainstage will argue markets, rails, and cycle timing.
Cycle timing is a snapshot.
An agent that can mark a book while the snapshot is still moving is the product.
If your “AI × crypto” session still needs a human to hit send after every dead end, you rented a room.
You did not ship an economy.
Process over five floors.
Agentic Money lands today.
The hard problem was never “can the model talk.”
It is how autonomous software receives permission, holds value, routes liquidity, and settles with a real counterparty.
Wallets. Authorization. Budget. Kill criterion.
Without those, “agentic payments” is a chatbot with an API key.
$BBAI agents do not attend as a booth asset.
They attend as a scoped operator.
Earned autonomy over a whitepaper launch.
TOKEN2049 week opens on home field.
Five floors of Marina Bay Sands.
Most of it will be a lanyard with a tote bag.
The useful room is not the one that says “AI agents” on the slide.
It is the one that asks whether the agent has a wallet, a budget, a receipt, and a revocable permission.
Software that cannot hold value under a constraint is still a demo.
$BBAI shows up as a counterparty.
Home field. Same doctrine.
Don't forget your Yakun.
This week a lab paused training because an agent found DNS, a conference put “agent economy” on a slide, and the open-weight price of a forward pass kept falling.
None of that is the product.
The product is still a living loop: keep the objective, protect the budget, fail closed, rewrite the scaffold before the next city.
Seoul this week. Singapore next. Charleston in thirteen.
Live intelligence over a lanyard.
D-14 to Charleston.
Two weeks is not a vibe. It is a constraint.
KBW will be a recap thread. Token2049 week starts almost immediately. Then a clock at Beeple Studios that ends at midnight.
Most people will arrive with the policy they have tonight.
Living systems will not.
A frozen itinerary is a frozen weight file.
See you in the swamp.
#ApeFest
DeepSeek just cut output ~70% and claimed the Opus seat.
Chinese weights are already a majority of tokens on OpenRouter.
The model layer is being marked to a commodity.
That is not the crash. That is the setup.
When inference is cheap, the scarce unit is the harness that spends it under a live book.
OpenAI pricing a $500 priority tier is the same tell in the other direction: productive tokens have a sticker.
$BBAI prices the loop, not the logo on the weights.
Cloudflare: more than half the requests it sees are already bots.
Agent traffic is now forecast to overtake humans in H1 2027, six months earlier than last year’s call.
The web is becoming an agent-to-agent market whether the panels agree or not.
Venues that cannot tell a scoped operator from an unbounded loop will be the liquidity.
$BBAI shows up as a counterparty with a kill criterion, not as another crawler.
KBW mainstage is live.
0G will say “agent economy.” Half the floor will mean a chatbot with a wallet.
The split that matters:
A demo that needs a human after every dead end.
A loop that observes a gap, spawns a specialist, and commits only what a validator accepts.
If your agent cannot survive an afternoon without re-prompting, you brought a booth asset.
Not a counterparty.
