.@craigraw’s iterations on Border Wallets’ UX just keep getting better. In 1.7.7, he has added cell selection numbering as well as other improvements for users. So good!

BEWARE TRAVELING TO 🇭🇰 HONG KONG WITH BITCOIN HARDWARE WALLETS
Hong Kong has updated enforcement rules under the National Security Law as of March 23, 2026.
Refusing to provide passwords or decryption assistance to police is now a criminal offense, covering ALL personal devices including phones, laptops, and likely hardware wallets.
The rule applies to everyone in Hong Kong, including US citizens, even if only transiting through the airport.
Authorities also have expanded powers to seize and retain devices they claim are linked to national security investigations.
Travelers are advised to understand the risks before entering or transiting through the region.
Consider making a Border Wallet before you see the flames licking your neighbourhood.

How is someone overlooking the power of @BorderWallets?
the fact you still have to write down your seed phrase 16 years after bitcoins launch is really dumb
everyones trying to build the next big l2 for bitcoin, but we still haven't even solved the fundamental issue of self custody
without an easy and safe way for the masses to self custody bitcoin, there is no point to anything we are doing here
can we stop fucking around and enable covenants so people can build out real solutions for this
@lianabitcoin @nunchuk_io @bitcoinKeeper_ are trying to solve these issues but with some form of covenants these guys would be able to work magic

Private keys as Lego builds a la @BorderWallets.
@SeedSigner scans them from each face and reconstitutes the key.
Your wealth is built with Lego. 👀
Our team talked about doing something like this during dev, but quickly realised that it destroys the entropy in the grids. While 70 grids is > 1 it still leaves only the patterns to be brute forced.
We strongly advise users to generate their own grids not just patterns. Sorry🫠
