The Wolverine is the Machine Cavalry's preferred light AFV, rugged and easy to maintain its outlived a few of its proposed replacements. Primarily armed with either an MG of some sort or a recoilless rifle it is capable of working in a support role to the fireteams inside.
Armed with anything and everything from the last century, militias are an ever present force. Many are trained by embedded Cavalry units and are somewhat unpredictable whenever they appear.
Long deployments in border zones mixed with somewhat spotty logistics in those more wild systems results in very eclectic collections of gear and uniforms. This is exacerbated even further by the addition of the militia to active combat teams.
