Today, I was simply a proud dad. Watching Nandil receive his law degree at NLSIU Bengaluru this morning brought back so many memories. I still remember when he first told Riniki and me that he wanted to take a year off to prepare for CLAT. The father in me had a few questions and, admittedly, a few worries too. But he knew what he wanted, believed in himself, and gave it his all. He went on to secure an All India Rank of 40 in CLAT, reminding us both how important it is to trust our children’s choices. We spend years guiding our children, only to discover just how much they teach us along the way. Today, my heart is full. So proud of you, Nandil. Go write your next chapter.

Today marks another milestone in Assam's health journey. Assam's 15th State Medical College formally begins its operations today in Bongaigaon, adding another 100 seats to its medical education field and 430 beds in the healthcare sector. This was a long cherished dream of the people of Bongaigaon & BTR and is another step towards establishing a medical college in each of Assam's districts. With each Medical College, we are taking quality healthcare among the masses and ensuring our people receive the best treatment. From days when people went out of Assam for treatment to a time when people from other States are coming here, Assam has travelled a long way in the last decade. This journey will continue.

For the first time in Assam and the Northeast, robotic-assisted cardiac procedures, including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting and Mitral Valve surgery, have been performed at @gmchgauhati. With 3D visualisation and robotic precision, complex heart surgeries can now be done through small incisions, meaning less pain and faster recovery for patients. Over the years, we have worked to transform GMCH into a world-class facility by modernising infrastructure and strengthening tertiary cardiac care. This is only the beginning. Next, we are working towards a comprehensive cardiac transplant programme and a new era of advanced surgery for the region. Many congratulations to the team.
