The Sameer Project started from a desire to help our Palestinian people differently - with dignity, without conditions, and in a way that returned agency instead of creating dependency. We continued because the genocide continued. And now, we are devastated to say that The Sameer Project is being forced to pause our daily operations. Not because the need has decreased. Because the money has run out. We are panicking. We are stressed. We are heartbroken because we know exactly what this pause means for the people who rely on us. Mothers still need to feed their children. Families still need drinking water. The elderly and sick still need medication. People are still being killed in airstrikes and shootings while the occupation continues to manufacture deprivation by restricting aid. We have always been an emergency response group. When you donated, we spent that money immediately on people who needed help NOW. We did not save it for some predictable tomorrow, because in Gaza tomorrow has never been promised. Now we are reaching a point we never wanted to reach: we do not have enough coming in to keep responding. This pause is not administrative. It is not harmless. When food, water, medicine, transportation, and emergency assistance disappear, people can die. We desperately need you to understand the urgency of this moment. Please help us restart operations. Please donate. Please share. Please do not let Gaza lose another lifeline. In the coming days we will share with you exactly how to be part of the solution - how to bring The Sameer Project back. The need did not stop and neither can we. Stand with us… ❤️‍🩹 - The Sameer Project Team

even if prison labor was slavery (which i argue that language has failed to project understanding on the prison struggle), it's absolutely not foundational to the US economy and is a net drain that only gets paid for via imperialist exploitation xitter.cf/probablykaffe/status/1…

You should know that prisons do not profit from prison labor. Prison labor simply subsidizes a small amount of the costs of mass incarceration, but such labor value and profits are only possible if giant expensive prisons existed in the first place.

My atheism extends to #BlackCapitalism and #FinancialLiteracy: there is simply no convincing evidence that any of it is real or materially beneficial.

Nations and states are often coextensive but not synonymous. Nations exist independently from states and self-determination depends on dialectical relation. Tibet's right to self-determination is upheld constitutionally by its membership in the People's Republic of China.

The problem with any humanist tendency of 'Marxism' is that, unbeknownst to its adherents, it has not overcome the ideological baggage of bourgeois idealism; it is the futile notion that alienation is monolithic and self-caused. This is what makes it reactionary, inert.

Our existence is resistance, and no matter what the military occupation does, we Palestinians teach life sir. We teach the world the true meaning of resilience. These young men in Gaza were having some fun on the beach and wanted to show us their great moves. These moments are a reminder to all of us that if Palestinians in Gaza can keep going after almost 3 years of genocide and manage to find moments of joy like this, who are we to give up? It is our duty to keep fighting for the end of the genocide. This fight requires sacrifice of time, money and energy. Liberation doesn’t come easily and the liberation of Palestine means the breaking of the global imperialist system. So let this video of these boys in Gaza inspire you to take action for Gaza. Support our work in providing aid as a form of resistance through our linktree: linktr.ee/thesameerproject?u…

If you list Debord as a primary influence it cancels out everything else you purport to have read anyway. All of these western leftists claim to read Lenin but distort his theory by filtering it through scraps of useless liberals like Deleuze, Adorno, Marcuse, or Debord.

The mystification which the dialectic suffers in Hegel‘s hands by no means prevents him from being the first to present its general forms of motion in a comprehensive and conscious manner.

Forget the Soviets - almost every anarchist argument I encounter stems from antique mistakes in analysis or ideology (about class, natlib, diamat, etc.) that was already discredited in the 19th century. 150 more years of history only furnishes additional evidence of their errors.

Heartwarming: this factory still makes their JRPG boss music the old-fashioned way.
This device was banned in some cites. They called this soulless machine music. It took over a decade to allow some cites to remove restrictions. When you know the past, you know the future.

Education through play allows children to develop critical social, cognitive, and physical skills through active engagement rather than passive instruction. This is a method we use regularly in the Hasan School by The Sameer Project. Donate: chuffed.org/project/113327-r… Children in Gaza were deprived from education during covid and then again during the genocide. Illiteracy amongst kids is high and concerning so to have access to a school for free during a genocide is huge for these children and their families. Education levels amongst children of the same age varies and this is something our teachers and principal are aware of. Therefore, we design the classes in an inclusive way that makes it accessible for different levels. Support our Hasan School that serves 750 students through the Refaat Alareer Campaign today: chuffed.org/project/113327-r… Other ways to donate include: paypal.me/mahertali (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Camp") account.venmo.com/u/Maher-Al… (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Camp")

State capitalism in the context of capitalism (Marx and early Lenin) or socialism (a DotP) are both historically progressive, but it's not a question of 'want'. In a DotB it is just a way of describing the natural trajectory of monopolization affixed to a state. In a DotP . . .
