Stage 2 has officially left the rocket factory for the last time. 😢🫡
Now in Moses Lake, WA, it will undergo cryo proof testing and then a hotfire campaign with its Andromeda engine before shipment to our launch site in Cape Canaveral, FL.
The first Starship to return to its launch site, Ship 40's journey took it across air, space, and sea. Now that it is vertical alongside three other Starships in a Megabay at Starbase, it will provide first-of-its-kind data on a flown Starship heatshield, Raptor engines, avionics, and more.

Constant communication is what makes autonomy like this safe. Early contact lets us take maneuvering responsibility, publish ephemeris faster than ground radar can catalog the object, and deorbit and keep commanding through demise if needed
We treat early communications as a requirement, not a nice-to-have
How does it boil water
🚨: South Korea has just sustained fusion plasma at 100 million °C for 48 seconds.
That's hotter than the core of the Sun.
And more than double the previous record.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This happened in early 2024, not "just" now as claimed.
