Simce he lost his eyes (due to glaucoma) he lost interest in playing, so I encourage him to play and he does, I use squeaky toys and I talk in a silly voice ๐

Virgin & Child, C12, France, polychromed wood. This was dubbed the sedes sapientae or "throne of wisdom," emphasizing that the Virgin presents/protects the Christ child. The Virgin = the Church. Note her throne is architectural. The regal Jesus is v un-childlike in his stiffness.

Good morning, The Woodman, Southgate, north London, reopened under new ownership earlier this year after an 18 month closure.
Community pub, now run by Heartwood Inns, high end, sustainable food, plus you can still pop in for a decent pint.
