Possibly tbe BEST RESULTS of all time for the LAYERS @WolvesRaces Tonight 😲
It seems the possible threat of a very weak or even dead betting exchange today seemed to deter quite a few "books" @haydockraces today , bizz very good and a few results , if only we could rid the rings of the exchanges / commission agents and rejuvenate the betting rings 😇
U COULDNT MAKE IT UP ! 😂😂😂
Legendary trainers Nicky Henderson and John Gosden have led an impassioned appeal to the Treasury ahead of the October 28 budget.
They warn that proposals to double machine games duty (MGD) from 20 to 40 per cent would undermine racing's finances, decimate the communities that depend on it and drive punters into the hands of illegal bookmakers.
Henderson accused the government of failing to consider the unintended consequences of its actions and warned that the sport he has devoted his life to was being "violently threatened" by the prospect of further tax rises.
I know so many Gerald Ratners ! 😂

More at Wolvs , cant think why 🤔#souless
So the 5.30 @WolvesRaces yesterday Iron Dome was backed from 2/5 in the ring to 1/6 in a 6 furlong four horse race , i took a lump at 4/11 and continued to lay it, coming around the last bend Iron Dome traded over 100/1 and appeared beat as i gave the big EYE ! EYE ! the parachute opened on the leader which traded 1.01 😭
Theres a rumour going around @UttoxeterRaces that the recently collected marketing fees paid by the oncourse bookmakers will be put towards a tannoy system that people can actually hear 😲
This fella is diffrent class !

Bookmakers make the '10%' statement as an excuse not to lay a racing bet. Of course in the days before bookies employed 'bean counters' they'd trade the race rather than the individual. Winners have always existed in the eco-system but the art of 'bookmaking' has been lost...
Fantastic service from the oncourse bookmaker provider @Tr4ckGear , problems with the original light board bag erradicated with this new design , whats even better is track gear recognised the problem and without having to be asked replaced the bag free of charge .
Anyone would think that @ayrracecourse didnt want bookmakers to attend ? Its scanderlous but unfortunately the racecourse know there will be zero unity amongst your colleagues #dogeatdog so will continue charge through the nose, i stopped attending Epsom and Ayr for that reason
Making bookies pay an extra £410 to bet inside @ayrracecourse on Saturday is a disgrace. The badge fee is £289 for all books, which is fair considering it’s a premium day, but to charge the above really needs addressing👎🤷♂️🤷♂️
With i believe 7 out the 37 pitches and good results for the layers #clueless 😂😂😂😂😂

If I were to drive to Dover port with no valid passport/or an expired passport /or no other ID I would be stopped and turned back at the booth of the French Border officers.
If I put my toe down or ran off to attempt to get to a ferry I would be pursued, arrested, maybe charged and forcibly removed.
And yet our police (Public servants supposed to be protecting the British public) in Portsmouth yesterday were protecting and facilitating 140 undocumented, unidentifiable and illegal intruders from Cherbourg.
Whilst literally pushing back UK citizens. Who orders and sanctions this modus operandi ?

The usual lot jumping on the “It’s the tax” bandwagon. Reality is they have lost all their customers. Shops are empty as they’ve knocked them or annoyed them with high margin dross. Or just won’t take a bet ..
