Jay is a fraud. It’s simple, he makes money pretending to be an apologist for the Holy Church. If money wasn’t involved, I’d only call him out for his heresy and lack of Orthodox understanding.

If we loved our Fathers we should desire and want to speak EXACTLY like our Holy Fathers We should never seek to speak of our own accord

Sexual tourism should be abolished as a practice and it is an issue that needs to be discussed more tbh. The fascination of “colonizing” foreign prospects bc you r not competitive with your own is just ridiculous

I hope priests will remember that topical sermons on current events are as forgettable as the news cycle they respond to. The faithful don't need your political opinions disguised as piety; we need sound doctrine and spiritual edification. The news changes. The Gospel is eternal.

Crumbl cookies, Stanley cups, expensive blankets, all Utah business trends are empty hype, fake and gay.
Crumbl Cookies closes dozens of stores amid declining sales, report finds Tonight at 10 -Is this just how the "cookie crumbles" or a broader sign of weakness in the economy? kutv.com/news/local/crumbl-c…

Pull yourself up by your bootstraps small government conservative boomers when you tell them that struggling young Americans with a net worth of zero paying them 5X what they paid into social security is completely unreasonable.

seeing so much AI slop in Orthodox spaces is a bummer. everyday someone is shilling a "children's book" "they" "wrote" and "illustrated" or it's image for some story for a saint or some dumb based meme of a juandiced anime cartoon priest.

The last thing we’ll comment on concerning recent events: The cult apparatus of a self proclaimed “comedian” declaring heresies and black listing laypeople upon his own authority (along with clergy he keeps in his back pocket to grant him justification of his behavior) is antithetical to the hierarchy and, in turn, spirit of Orthodoxy. It is up to spiritual fathers, bishops, and synods of the Orthodox Church to discipline such individuals if they deem fit, let alone if they’re doing anything wrong at all. A disagreement on theological perspective and evangelization does not warrant a response that supersedes the hierarchy of the Church and the guidance of the Saints. This repeated behavior towards good willed individuals and organizations (including clergy and whole archdiocese in the past) is representative of a spiritual rot and malice that supports not God’s people, but circular self-gratification that labels those who could share the chalice with them as outsiders. Our organization will not be bullied or hounded upon into ending our mission of providing much needed funding and distributing the wisdom of clergy/monastics of the Orthodox Church, just as we understand that persecution for the sake of truth is what Christ foretold us of during His earthly ministry.

Well since someone asked… De-celebertize it. No more personality cults or cliques that survive off vibes or click-bait or “owning” in debates, but who present the Saint’s teachings unadulterated and explained with sobriety. The human element of Orthodox digital apologetics as done nothing but feed the ego and hard heartedness of 90% of the clergy AND laity who have attempted to become leaders in it. Humility has become a thing of the past, and guidance in the spiritual life has taken a back seat to becoming vipers towards those who the thought leaders of this new religion (because it is not any Orthodoxy I recognize) declare ανάθεμα with no right or structure to do so. Eccumenist shills, money loving pharisees who have been completely and totally ruined by avarice, so called “traditionalists” biting at the heels of our bishops and bordering on schism with the old calendarists, self-insisting thought leaders and academics who throw the weight of their own lofty insight towards even the slightest criticism or inquiry as a weapon… they’re all modernists, all of them doomed to be condemned by Saints at their judgment to inherit the exact opposite behaviors and ambitions. The point is that you need none of them. You need your church, the saints (PRIMARY SOURCES), the sacraments, and a well developed life of prayer, fasting, humility, gentleness, and community. Anything more or less than that kind of Orthodoxy will send you to a pit that you’ll never see the outside of once you get in it. But that’s not as fun as money or attention or being a part of some greater earthly trend, so no one will listen.

You should not buy any “courses” from Orthodox influencers irrespective of whether it’s a priest or layman selling these “courses”. Our faith is not a grift that can be used to make money and it’s wrong to prey upon spiritually insecure young men to enrich oneself.

A response to a priest offended by Dyer; Please excuse Jay Dyer. He’s an exprotestant that pretends to be an Orthodox apologist. He is not. He is nothing more than a street performer making money off of unsuspecting Orthodox enquirers. The enquirers protect him with a boy like crush. He holds no rank and is not a theologian, nor is he a scholar in the Orthodox Church. Jay used to work for Alex Jones and his followers on X are mostly fighting age males that are misogynistic, antisemitic, and racist. His priest and bishop, ROCOR, choose the money Dyer brings the church over his heretical and immoral views. In debate, Dyer is often vile, condescending and uses obscene language. He uses straw man arguments in every debate. Many of our celebrity priests associate with Dyer because of his large number of followers. The majority of Orthodox Bishops and Priests do not approve or support Jay Dyer.

Two things which are very impious to do: - Dwell on the damnation of the unbaptized, even the saints were pained in speaking about this - Speak about the salvation of those outside the church with certainty, you make yourself god in saying someone unbaptized is in heaven

Actually, catechumens should not study the essence-energy distinction. Met. Macarius Bulgakov's article on distinguishing the essence and the properties is perhaps the most what one needs to know. It's basically how they all (mis)understand EED anyways.

I’m sure that in the great Twitter War of 2026 I’m supposed to side with the OrthoBros against their opponents. But you know what? The “OrthoBros” are an embarrassment and a stain on our Church. They often push genuine inquirers away and convert *nobody* to true spiritual life. I’ve been treated worse by the OrthoBro cult than I’ve ever been treated by atheists, Muslims, or Jews. Their opponents of various confessions are 100% right about what they’re witnessing. They’re right about the total lack of fruit on display. They’re right about the personality disorders and the carnal, monstrous behavior. I would vastly prefer to side with those who (allegedly) share my own faith than with those who do not. But the OrthoBro cult makes that impossible to do while still maintaining a sense of conscience and dignity. To dismiss all feedback about one’s spiritual state as “piety signaling” is to announce, as loudly as possible, that one does not truly fear God. If someone criticizes you and they’re right, it takes humility to examine yourself and discern whether you *do* actually need to shape up. It’s probably safe to dismiss one random person’s opinion of you if you’re not getting the same feedback from dozens of others, but if you’re hearing the same thing day in and day out then you should probably pay attention. As a mentor of mine nearly half my life ago said: “If someone tells you you have a tail, you can probably just ignore them. If three people tell you you have a tail, you might want to turn around and take a look.”
