To every author who adjusted a schedule, made time for a conversation, joined a session, or simply believed that what we are building was worth being a part of, thank you. It has meant more to us than we can properly put into words.

'The Tiny Things Are Heavier' is about people: warped, ugly, kind, loving, cruel and how they choose to handle the hand life deals them. I wrote my thoughts on @ifesinachiok's debut novel: medium.com/@chideraaikeakaen…

i think Achebe's 'Girls at War and Other Stories' is slept on, because one of the best short stories ever written (The Madman) is in there.

While sadness may be a good ingredient for writing, I think it’s becoming a harmful rhetoric that sadness is what makes a good writer. This is why people create dramas unhinged, and say things like it’s for the writing material.
“You’re such a good writer." Thanks, I was a very sad child.

When human beings lived with purpose and great character, this was the kind of creativity they came up with. I really want to experience the Igbo that existed before foreign ideas.

That is because they emphasize on the art of acting and literature. A lot of their actors are graduates of brilliant art and drama schools, hence the quality of their TV dramas and series.

My theory is that whoever is capable of being a good editor is a generous and patient person by default—and also a good listener.
