DELIVERED BY PONY EXPRESS! 🐎💌
After 3,217 kilometers from St. Joseph, Missouri, to Sacramento, California, Lachy arrived at the historic Pony Express Terminal at 11 p.m. local time, just 6 days, 21 hours and 15 minutes after setting off.
He finished 19 hours and 45 minutes ahead of the record pace set on horseback by the riders who delivered Abraham Lincoln’s inaugural address from Missouri to California on the route of the Pony Express back in 1861.
Lachy set out inspired by the courage of those original riders, who ventured into the unknown to connect communities across a vast and rugged country. More than 160 years later, he found that same spirit in the people he met along the way, from small towns in Nebraska and Wyoming to remote communities in the Nevada desert.
Their courage is still there. The United States is still being built.
Chapeau, Lachy!

Dear friends, during some recent medical examinations, the doctors found a small, localized nodule in my lung. It was detected at a very early stage and is well-localized. The doctors believe that it is best to intervene, so, following their advice, I have decided to undergo surgery to remove it. The operation is already scheduled to take place in the coming days. I thank you for your spiritual closeness and entrust myself to your prayers.

Over halfway there, another state crossed, and smooth sailing on a beautiful fall day in Wyoming. 🍂
Lachy is heading into Utah with close to a 400-kilometer lead over the Pony Express’ fastest time. The gap is growing, but some of the toughest terrain of the ride still lies ahead.
Head to efprocycling.com to track Lachy’s progress.

They’ll be no more remarkable performance in college football today than the one put forth by Yale QB Dante Reno. One day after his father passed away, he played for Yale and threw four touchdown passes and for 298 yards. Yale beat Merrimack 41-24. Bravo.

Replying to @PeteThamel
Even more impressive, Dante throws a pick-six and team is down 21-7. Easy to pack it in given the last adversity of the last 48 hours. Instead rallies the team to outscore the opponent 34-3 the rest of the way. Bravo, Dante. All of Bulldog nation is so proud.

The weather pattern next week: An approaching trough will interact with the remnants of Hurricane Polo, which could help determine when our next rain chances arrive. Mid to late week is the timeframe I’m most interested in. Wash your cars and keep your fingers crossed!

Ken Paxton keeps dodging debates. So I’m challenging him to a debate on Fox News — his safe space.
I’ll go into the lion’s den. I know what I believe and I’m not afraid of hard questions.
Ken has been running from accountability his whole life. It’s time to stop running.
