Every GOP strategist, consultant, and candidate should be forced to participate in a role-playing exercise this morning.
Your name is Bob. You’re a 49-year-old blue-collar worker in Ohio. You’ve always struggled to make ends meet. The good jobs were all shipped to China and the few remaining pay a pittance wage, undercut by endless illegal labor.
You’re a 3x Trump voter because you believed he would finally make America great again.
You put your son through Ohio State. He graduated cum laude in computer science. You couldn’t have been prouder. After months searching, he landed an entry-level job at Microsoft. Beneath his qualifications, but a good start for a smart kid.
Then he got laid off. That same month, Microsoft applied for 150,000 more H-1B visas because it can’t find qualified Americans.
Your son has spent six months back in his childhood bedroom, sending hundreds of applications without landing an interview.
On TV, Trump boasts about the greatest economy in history and how many women and minorities are finding jobs.
You decide a father-son steak night might cheer him up.
Gas is $4.50 a gallon. Filling your truck costs over $100. At Kroger, ribeyes are $30/lb. You settle for hamburger, even though 70/30 ground beef still costs $10+.
At checkout, a fat black woman is screaming at the cashier because her EBT will only cover most of the filet mignon and lobster in her cart.
You think to yourself how the Iran war has made everything expensive, but at least we’re stopping their nuclear bomb. You weren’t even sure where Iran was before you googled it after we first bombed them in March.
After dinner, you take your son to the county fair. Half the people aren’t speaking English. Virtually none of the crowd looks like you. You’re forced to leave early after a “teen takeover” turns violent. A foreign born judge pledges none of them will go to jail.
Back home, you turn on the TV. Vivek Ramaswamy is lecturing the crowd about American mediocrity and why Ohio needs more foreign talent.
Your son grows upset. You change the channel.
Now a Republican surrogate, the daughter of a governor or wife of an elderly billionaire, explains that young White men are the REAL welfare queens. They’d rather play videogames in their parents’ basements than work.
Your son says nothing. He just goes back to his childhood bedroom. You turn off the TV.
Then your neighbor starts blasting reggaeton and cracking open Modelos. He brought his cousin’s family from Mexico to help with all the minority-business contracts his construction firm keeps winning. Tonight they’re celebrating his nephew’s birth, the family’s first birthright American citizen.
You sit alone in your living room.
You worked hard, paid taxes, obeyed the law, and raised your son to do everything right. You voted Republican again and again because you believed somebody in Washington would finally fight for you.
Instead, your wages are stagnant. Groceries are unaffordable. Your community is unrecognizable. Your country is fighting another foreign war.
And upstairs, the son you sacrificed everything for is lying awake in the bedroom he slept in at twelve, wondering what the heck he’s even supposed to do with his life now.
Every time you turn on the TV, the Republicans you elected are either congratulating themselves or explaining why you and your son are the problem.
For ten years, they told you America’s future depended on your vote. Now you aren’t even sure America has a future worth defending.
The Republican Party needs to answer one simple question this morning:
You’ve spent a decade demanding Bob’s loyalty. You’ve given him stagnant wages, unaffordable groceries, another foreign war, and a son who did everything right but can’t find work.
And when they complain, you call them lazy, entitled, and racist.
What possible reason have you given Bob and his son to vote Republican? Do you honestly think you deserve their vote?

Replying to @DoDeportations
There were 4 big issues tonight. Trump and Congress failed on 3.
Issue 1: Border. An unqualified success. 4 million plus deportations and zero new entries. Dont agree. You're stupid. Go watch border footage from 2023 and get back to me.
Issue 2: DOGE: EPIC FAIL. They passed one little shitty recissions bill worth 9 billion. Flush.
Issue 3: Affordability. EPIC FAIL. 6 fucking dollar diesel?! No headway on groceries? Just begging for a beat down.
Issue 4: Iran. Should have quit while you were ahead after Midnight Hammer last year. But noooooooo. You let BIBI and Lindsay Graham talk you into going full retard. You NEVER go full retard.
There ya go.

Well, look on the bright side, GOP.
At least you didn't do anything crazy like pass the SAVE act.

The GOP went all in on running foreigners for candidates and telling young white men how lazy and stupid they are and wonder why they lost by 20 point margins

Hey, whether you voted for the Kill All White People Party or the Replace All White People Party, democracy is what makes this country so great, you know?
Primary: 29-2 (overcoat pocket)
Secondary: 6.5” 629-6 (belt holster)
Tertiary: 4” 629-6 (shoulder holster)
What should my quaternary carry gun be? @Smith_WessonInc
What a great Friday. Finally picked up my 4” S&W 629 and fitted my shoulder rig, plus a wild Pippy appeared in the mail from the UK. Now she can watch over my pile of unfinished Gunpla while I’m at the range.
Thanks @PippyM_ and @Smith_WessonInc
Fuck it, just bought a S&W 629 with 4" barrel and a Galco vertical shoulder holster. I've been tempted to do this for a long time. Thanks, Cowboy Bebop
I know its stainless while the Bebop one is blued but I like stainless wheelguns and I'm going to polish the shit out of it

I am getting lots of incoming questions about the public execution of Nidal Hasan, mostly because I have been outspoken on wanting public executions for over a decade.
My position is simple: Executions should be public and brutal, not private and medicalized. They are the ultimate example of the state's monopoly on violence, and the only way to keep that from running out of control is to confront voters with the trade they have made every single time, that they might have appropiate confidence or revulsion in the institution.
This is not new thinking. George Washington thought the same. The way we have shifted from hanging to firing squads to doctors quietly injecting chemicals that send our worst gently off to sleep is awful and dystopian, a total short-circuiting of important feedback mechanisms. It makes needless executions more likely, not less so. People who demean this as barbaric or yucky miss the whole point. It doesn't somehow become torture or inhumane (as the UN is suddenly claiming) just because we decline to hide the act behind a curtain.
And then there are those who suggest any revel in the death of those who truly deserve it is an indicator of a broken or diseased mind. To the contrary. It is normal, good, and aligned with our natural and national order. That it has not been done here in 60 years is an indictment in and of itself.
And that is without even getting into the fact that men were not hung for stealing horse, but that horses may not be stolen.
"I would to God that one of the most attrocious in each State was hung in Gibbets, up on a gallows five times as high as the one prepared by Haman. No punishment, in my opinion, is too great for the Man, who can build his greatness upon his Country’s ruin."
- George Washington, 1778

The best part about Japan is actually the hot springs because they automatically filter anyone who ever thought it was a good idea to get a tattoo
Buy a can cannon. Remove the barrel and replace with a 4" barrel in .45 ACP or for giggles a 2" barrel in .22 LR. Print an extended spacer followed by a stack of baffles, each 2.65" wide. Congrats, you now have a modern De Lisle carbine.
I really need to buy a 3d printer.
