$LULU just got cut in half again and closed back where it was in 2018.
This was the easiest short in the market for two years. Anyone with a wife and a pair of eyes could see it.
The problem with a lot of male investors on here is they keep trying to invest outside their circle of competence. Peter Lynch said it simply: buy what you know.
Even if a guy wears Lululemon, the vast majority of the sales are to women. This is a Becky stock. Upper-middle-class / wealthy white women. Pilates. Fitness. Status. That is the whole business.
Anyone paying attention to Becky already saw she moved on.
The high end upgraded to Vuori and Alo. Look at the marketing side by side. Competitors are selling to the woman who used to make Lulu special. Lulu is running a 78-year-old fitness influencer campaign and wondering why the core demo left. They tried to sell to everyone and in doing that they lost the one demo that set them apart: hot women.
The lower end did not stay loyal either. They went to Costco dupes, Amazon knockoffs, and cheaper Gymshark leggings of equal quality and look.
So you had a middle-of-the-pack brand, in a weak consumer, losing both the premium customer and the value customer at the same time. That is not a turnaround setup. That is a brand that already lost.
Women rotate trends much faster than men. When the influencers and the key demo switched brands, that was the time to sell. Not after comps went negative, not after the second guidance cut, not after the stock was already down 70% from the highs.
I knew it was a short when my wife started complaining about the quality. She said the only thing they still make well is the bags.
Fashion is hard. A recession you can underwrite. A trend dying is different. You usually do not see it on a spreadsheet until the customer is already gone.
That is why I do not touch apparel. $NKE is the best brand in the category and it is still a long way from the highs. If I were forced to own one fashion name I would buy $GOOS where it is today around $8. I still would rather own none of them.
Following Michael Burry after he made Lululemon his largest position is a terrible idea. Anyone who watched The Big Short can tell he is not in touch with what this customer actually wants. Yes the stock is cheap. Why he thinks that gives him an edge in women’s clothing is beyond me.
If you already own it, maybe you make money buying a 9 P/E and selling a 12 P/E. That is a multiple bounce. It is not the business getting better. Stocks are businesses, and Lululemon’s business has been going the wrong way for years. The market is not waking up to a company that is “losing.” It is waking up to a company that already lost.
Maybe they recover under the new CEO. I would not bet on it.
If you are a straight guy with no girlfriend and no wife, you do not have an edge here. Watch Becky stocks from the sidelines.
Not financial advice. I built bonusagent.ai to help people take home real cash from bank account bonuses. That is a game I know. Women’s athleisure is not. Stay in your circle of competence.
AAA Travel Advantage Credit card was the best no-AF card at Costco gas.
5% cash back at the cheapest stations in most cities.
They updated the terms. Wholesale-club fuel is no longer 5%.
Costco gas on that card is 1% now.
Cheap gas, worse card. Time to find the replacement.

Wrong historical take!
Calling for a pause on AI is Luddism with. Same move as smashing the mills. That position has been wrong every time from the Industrial Revolution forward.
The tone is closer to the Unabomber manifesto than to “protect workers.”
The cat is already out of the bag. The economy is too dependent on this to unwind it. The biggest companies are lobbying to keep it going. Blue-collar unions want the data-center jobs. Wall Street needs those AI bets to pay off or the market cracks.
Even if Congress magically shut it down tomorrow, China would just take first place — and they will not do this more ethically than we would. Less woke. More CCP.
You don’t get to smash the loom and keep the cloth. AI is the future. All we can do is hope this disruption follows the same pattern as every other one.

I would recommend this book for anyone interested in Buffet or investing in general.
A bit dry at times but shows year by year his investments and shows why he is the GOAT. 🐐

Timber REITs look dirt cheap here. Stocks near 5-year lows. Yields that match close to treasuries but you own massive swaths of land and the timber keeps growing and accruing value. Price to acre at historic lows. What am I missing here? Seems like if you have a pile of cash you should own this kind of stuff instead of treasuries.
Thank you @RJ_Financial for the shout out!
You are the GOAT!

Sweetgreen Super Size Me
For 25 days, this guy ate only sweetgreen. Check out the results 💪🏼
People will look back on this as one of the dumbest thing we did in this bubble.
bitcoin:native might be legit, but the idea I can get a loan based on my solana:J5KeSn2sRBQPDZsPuE4Ugw6MTvMDEqshDXLgP4gmSZX5 is not going to end well.
Coinbase customers can now use Bitcoin towards a home purchase, without selling it 🏡₿
Our crypto-backed mortgage product, offered in partnership with Better, is now available to 100% of US customers - marking a new chapter in making crypto more useful & powerful in the real world.
How it works:
1) Bitcoin is pledged towards a home purchase
2) It is held securely until the mortgage is repaid or refinanced
3) No liquidation or margin calls, even if BTC decreases in value
Plus, Coinbase One members enjoy a 1% rebate on the mortgage value, up to $10k
How to get 7% cash back at Costco:
Get the Costco Executive membership → 2% annual reward on eligible purchases
Get the PayPal Debit Card and set the monthly category to Groceries (Costco codes as grocery) → 5% back on up to $1,000 spend per month
The PayPal card is a debit Mastercard. Costco doesn’t accept Mastercard credit cards in-store, but it does accept most debit cards — so this one works.
Stack them for 7% effective on warehouse runs (up to the $1k monthly limit).
Note: As of August 1, PayPal removed cash redemption for these rewards. You can only use the points at PayPal checkout, for gift cards, or donations.
Still one of the best returns available at $COST if you can use the points.
Everyone pays attention to the big $300+ bank bonuses.
A lot of people skip the $50–$100 ones because they “aren’t worth the time.”
Do 8–12 of those over a year and you’re looking at $600–$1,200 in actual cash. That’s often enough to turn a couple of tight months from dipping into savings into staying positive.
A lot of the smaller ones also have lighter requirements.

The smartest money move is simple:
Buy assets that pay you, not things that drain you.
Robinhood Gold vs. X Premium.
Both are 3% cash back cards, but the memberships required come with very different perks.
Which one gives you more value for everyday spending, and why?
What was your first bank bonus and how did you first hear about it?
I have just completed my 28th bank bonus.
Started 2 years ago and have been making some side cash from it every few months.
Probably the easiest side hustle anyone can pick up.
2016: buy food
2026: complete a 12-step digital ritual for the privilege of overpaying
Bank bonuses are one of the few remaining ways to fight back.
