Coupled river–landscape sim in Houdini.
Meandering channels, terrain erosion,
oxbow formation, cutoff and reconnection,
then a slow drying phase.
The river carves the land, the land
redirects the river. Paleochannel scars
stay readable long after the water
moves on. #houdini
Interactive Three.js test, bringing some of my Houdini ideas into the browser.
I barely touched the code or DCC myself. Most of it came together through prompting(purely voice input). It makes me curious how DCCs might become one part of the workflow rather than the main platform.
Now playable on my website.
The most brilliant thing I’ve seen for a while…this should be in the next season of Black Mirror
A tiny demo of what I am gonna show today at genmedia conf from @fal wiht h3 max director and reference to video, and also possible link with robotics (more to come about that and other models used)
All the code will be available at the end of the day on my X

I used GPT-6 Astra Pro built Along the River During the Qingming Festival
Astra Pro laid the foundation. then brought it into my local setup for fine-tuning. I love the pro so much
Built with Three.js + WebGL2.
Playable:qingming-riverside.vercel.ap…

584 animated people, 475 enterable buildings, and boats passing beneath the bridges.
Been building this little NYC Chinatown with GPT6 Astra + Houdini.
Inspired by @Yokohara_h ‘s tests on astra and procedural 3d.
It’s got me thinking about all the things I wouldn’t normally bother building a procedural system for. One scene, one shot, a quick experiment.
If these systems take much less time to build, I can see myself making them as I go. That’s the part I’m interested in exploring.

I continue to be impressed with Astra. I made bobo (the podcast host) with clay then took pictures of him and uploaded it to astra. It turned 3 images into a 3d model, which it then rigged and animated. Super cool tech!

I'm always looking for regions of parameter space where small mutations evoke a variety of behaviors.

Two of us filmed this on a couple phones, and we used Atlas to turn it into a short film. This is just a clip from the @theworldlabs tech blog
Atlas is able to generate the parts of the scene that none of the cameras actually filmed.
It can freeze time, allowing you to reframe shots to positions never filmed, then resume.
View events from impossible angles because Atlas knows what was there.

Introducing Atlas:
The world's first multimodal world model that generates image and video frames with pixel-perfect camera control and reconstructs them in 3D.
Model the world, move the camera, and simulate space & time.

Introducint Neural Ants : NAnts
NAnts are to Langton's ant what NCAs are to cellular automata: the rule is learned rather than written by hand.

What if model attention could typeset itself?
A tiny experiment mapping transformer attention into typography.
Turns out the model has opinions.

You've heard of Langton's ant. Check out its trainable version.
Since it borrows from the architecture of NCAs should we call it Mordvintsev's ant?

What happens when you print a simulation’s history instead of its shape?
This is a 2D reaction-diffusion system with time mapped directly into height — one state per printed layer.
As the system oscillates, fragments and eventually dies out, its temporal behavior becomes spatial morphology.
The side patterns reminded me of cellular automata spacetime diagrams, and the strange structures that appear somewhere between order and chaos.
Houdini → 3D print.

Every ridge is one step of a river simulation. A few hundred states, stacked into a solid instead of played back, then fabricated directly from the Houdini geometry.
