Can I ask something what does having a degree have to do with lobola. Reality is that it's your parents responsibility to take you to school at the end of the day. Because you can have a degree and still be stupid. Or is he marring the degree. Our grandmothers and grandfathers didn't get married like that and it lasted for so many years compared to the ones with degrees.

A man is NOT legally liable to maintain his wive's children from other relationships. The duty is between biological parents.
In many families, lobola for a woman with kids from different men is still charged full price, but the children are not considered part of the husband's lineage unless he formally accepts them.

The law today says marrying a single mother is to your demise as a man. If you marry a single mother and divorce her, don't ever get married again because I can assure you no WIFE is going to allow money to leave her household to support kids of another man just because you had married their mother.
