Officials cite old debt as justification - debt the company has repeatedly requested to restructure, but the government has refused each time. Meanwhile, pro-government channels such as Imedi and Rustavi 2 carry debts 50 times larger, yet face no enforcement action at all. This is not simply a financial dispute. It is a deliberate attempt to silence independent regional media. Even at this very moment, “Trialeti” does not have a single GEL in its bank accounts, as every incoming payment is automatically seized by the Revenue Service. ⏳If the international community does not stand with us now, Georgian Dream will continue pushing Georgia away from the West and from democratic values. Without resistance, the country risks sliding into a situation even worse than Belarus. This memorial honors three Ukrainian soldiers - Roman Deryain, Vladyslav Lipka, and Serhii Zadyraka - who served together as a self-propelled artillery crew with Ukraine’s 92nd Mechanized Brigade. Four years ago today, on September 9, 2022, they went on a combat mission near Hrushivka, providing fire support for Ukrainian forces advancing toward Kupiansk. They never returned.
