Protecting forests is one of the most effective ways to address the climate crisis.
Forests can benefit the planet & all its people, and are invaluable in our #ClimateAction efforts to build a sustainable future.
Hoping for the release of #NiloufarBayani and her fellow environmental conservationists detained in Iran.
It has been 5 years since our former @UNEP colleague #NiloufarBayani was imprisoned in #Iran. Taking note of pardons recently issued by Iranian authorities, I renew my plea for her release. Env. conservationists are critical to making #PeaceWithNature.

The Glasgow Declaration on Forests was an important step. The Forests & Climate Leaders’ Partnership can build on those commitments and help pivot action to the next level. Together we can enhance efforts to turn the tide on deforestation.
