A cool sarsaparilla on a hot summer's day. Architect, reader, listener, time waster. Mostly blue skying these days outside of a few likes and replies.

90 minutes seems like a good threshold for a single vs. two part episode. I try to listen to it all at once, but length isn’t a dealbreaker if the guest is interesting. I’ll create my own pauses if circumstances prevent me from getting through all of it.

Mirage all the way. Tango is the most dated classic era FM LP. Christine shines, but Lindsey one foot out the door, Stevie mostly AWOL. While a fall off from what came before, Gypsy, Hold Me, Eyes of the World, Love in Store…all great.

I vigorously point with the arm that's in the direction I'm turning. Hopefully between that and being on one side of the road or the other, the people behind me know where I'm going.

I’ve loved all of @Rhino_Records deluxe editions of Replacements albums, but maybe due to ‘Tim’ and its songs resonating in place and time in my music universe, this one is at another level. Looking forward to deeper dives through the weekend! – at Chicago, IL

The booklet is like having a super deluxe edition of ‘Trouble Boys’ @BobMehr ‘s incredible Replacements biography. – at Chicago, IL

This album meant a lot to me in 1985. The songs—at least five of which are 10/10s—have always been great. But the new Ed Stasium mix is revelatory, with both new and unburied original elements loud and clear and crunchy. – at Chicago, IL

Hi. Like a lot of people I haven’t been posting here much. But here is something that I couldn’t contain myself about, and it’s one of the best new versions of old music ever: The Replacements ‘Tim’ in its Let It Bleed deluxe edition. – at Chicago, IL

Sweetness Follows is my favorite R.E.M. song that isn't jangly R.E.M., which is So. Central Rain.

This 2023 White Sox season already stretching into 2024. Wow. Really wishing the best for Liam. Which probably means not pitching for the White Sox ever again.
Chicago #WhiteSox closer Liam Hendriks underwent successful surgery this morning to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow in a procedure performed by Dr. Keith Meister at TMI Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery in Arlington, Texas.
