BREAKING: Nigeria: A Christian mother, Liatu Samuel Dawa, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the “crime” of evangelism.
Liatu shared her faith with a woman in Borno State who later converted to Christianity.
For that, Liatu is now behind bars and her family in hiding after Muslims threatened their lives.
The judge, A.B. Kumdila, imposed the harsh sentence.
This ruling is a gross miscarriage of justice.
The disgraceful action must be overturned and Liatu immediately returned safely to her family.

Yesterday, three Jewish women—one pushing a baby in a pram—were punched in the face on Clapton Common in broad daylight. Targeted because they were visibly Jewish. Shomrim, a Jewish volunteer neighborhood watch, stopped the attacker and police later treated it as a hate crime.

🚨BREAKING: Iranian authorities have executed Marzieh Neyri (also reported as Marziyeh Nayeri), a young woman who claimed she acted in self-defense against a sexual assault.
Neyri was forced into marriage at age 17 under family pressure. In 2021, when she was 18, she said one of her husband’s business associates attempted to sexually assault her after drinking. She grabbed a kitchen knife to defend herself. Her husband was killed during the confrontation.
She turned herself in days later. Iranian courts rejected her self-defense claim. The surviving associate denied her account and portrayed her as the aggressor. Under qisas (retribution) law, she was sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on August 8, 2026, at Qazvin Central Prison (Choobindar).
Human rights groups note she was one of at least 14 women executed in Iran so far in 2026. Her case has drawn comparisons to earlier self-defense cases, including that of Reyhaneh Jabbari, who was hanged in 2014 after killing a man she said tried to rape her.
Under Iran’s Islamic Penal Code, proving certain sexual crimes can require four male witnesses. Women’s testimony often carries less weight, and self-defense claims by women in such cases are frequently rejected.

South African jurist Navi Pillay, 85, who was awarded the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, previously condemned French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo for publishing cartoons depicting the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
In September 2012, while serving as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Pillay described the cartoons as “malicious and deliberately provocative.”
She also expressed understanding for people who wanted to protest against the cartoons.
Back then, Islamist demonstrators stormed diplomatic compounds, attacked Western embassies, burned American flags, and clashed with security forces in countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Sudan, leaving dozens dead and hundreds injured.
The unrest also reached Western countries, with extremely violent protests rocking France, the UK, Australia, Denmark, and others.
Less than three years later, in January 2015, Islamist terrorists attacked Charlie Hebdo's Paris offices, killing 12 people, including several cartoonists, in retaliation for its depictions of Muhammad.
