Working on my game, I've learned it's actually not that hard to get a tabletop game out there. Being successful? That's the hard part. The very hard part. Making it a physical reality? If you have the time and money, it can be done. After all, it's just PDF files with die cuts going to your printer, not programming AI and sound engines. Text and images, that's it. This isn't like the 2000s where you needed distributors, publishing deals, or factory with high minimum print runs. Many indie games nowadays don't even need to be in a physical store anymore with places like Amazon or GameCrafter around. There are plenty of fulfillment companies willing to handle orders for you, and sites like Shopify make it snap to set up an online store. If you are doing TTRPGs, you can get by with POD and downloadable PDF files at near-zero upfront costs at places like DriveThruRPG. This is the golden age of indie tabletop gaming.
