#Day24 and it's the last in our history of #BradfordonAvon pics! This is the Church Hall & Ship Inn c.1920. Kingstons actually sold this building when it went to auction in 2010! ow.ly/1Sua30hot6Z Thank you to @BoAMuseum for their support with the content this month!

#day23 - As a memorial for the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897, it was decided to erect a building containing a swimming pool and baths, for the many people who then did not have one in their own homes. ow.ly/mqjY30hosVU #BradfordonAvon

Behind #Day22 of our #advent is this picture of the Three Horseshoes pub, at the beginning of Frome Road, in the 1890s. Externally at least, little has changed in more than a century; apart from the transport, the main difference is the loss of the large gas lamp. #BradfordonAvon

Behind the #Day13 window was this picture of St Margaret’s Street c.1900. Looking up the Street towards Hall’s Almshouses. In this view it is clear that the road continued into what is now #Frome Road, with Besoar Street turning off on the left towards #Trowbridge. #SocialAdvent

#Day14 and we're opening a door on William Dotesio Printers on Silver Street in the 1920's. Today it is an antique shop with restoration workshop behind and fun fact - William Dotesio Printers were previously based in our building! #SocialAdvent #BradfordOnAvon

#Day19 on our #socialadvent is this picture of Greenland Mills c. 1906. On the southern bank of the River Avon, at the far end of Bridge Street, was a group for factories known as Greenland, presumably so-called because of their relatively distant position from the town centre.

Behind #Day21 of our #advent is this picture looking up Market Street from outside the Swan Hotel in about 1900. The Town Hall (left) has a nice gas light, but the stonework is black with soot after only 50 years of pollution. Pics courtesy of@BoAMuseum ow.ly/BVgr30hmYEP
