This account was set up to help find a matching, lifesaving stem cell donor for Gary Stevens’ young son.Sadly that didn’t happen😢 As we approach the end of the year, I’d love to know how many of you have joined @AnthonyNolan or @DKMS_uk. IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE 💙

Over a thousand views. If every single one of those people joined the stem cell register, statistics suggest that ONLY 1 of them would EVER go on to be a match, and to donate! That gives you an idea of how difficult it can be to finding matching donors for blood cancer patients
Massive thanks to @Everton for highlighting the story of @Register4Ronnie and @BluesVCancer in today’s match day programme 💙 If anyone would like to join the stem cell register then 16-30 it’s @AnthonyNolan 16-55 it’s @DKMS_uk

Jack Grealish has once again shown his generosity, donating £1,400 to help a father battling cancer after coming across the family’s GoFundMe page while on holiday. It’s far from a one-off. Earlier this year, Grealish donated £1,000 towards funeral costs for a grieving family, while in 2023 he gave £5,000 to support a young cancer patient. He also donated £5,000 to the family of a victim killed in a tragic crash in 2021. He’s built a reputation for quietly helping people who need it, often without making a big deal of it. A genuine class act.
