Joe Fulks, of tiny Kuttawa High School led the @NBA (then known as the BAA) in scoring as a rookie for the league champion Philadelphia Warriors in the 1946-47 season.
A two-time NBA All-Star, he was named to the NBA 25th Anniversary Team in 1971.
Dr. Sabie was an icon!
KENTUCKY FACT OF THE DAY:
Iraqi immigrant, Mohammad Sabie was hired to teach at Morehead State in 1963 and start a soccer program, leading the Eagles club/varsity team from 1964-1992.
He is considered the “Father of Soccer” in Kentucky!
