The hockey world continues to rally around Matthew Mayich, and this one hits especially close to home for Habs fans. ❤️‍🩹 According to Elliotte Friedman, the Xhekaj family has been supporting the Mayich family through this incredibly difficult time. Matthew’s father, John Mayich, and John Xhekaj, the father of Arber and Florian, have been longtime friends, with Mayich saying they rarely go more than a couple of Sundays without speaking. The support hasn’t stopped there. Auston Matthews, Clayton Keller, André Tourigny and members of Tage Thompson’s family are among those who have reached out as Matthew continues his recovery.
