This been my thesis since 2023 for the OG eth coins - $SPX, $MOG, #HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu - coins with provenance that started much of what’s seen throughout crypto this cycle. If u are actually in the game, u know $SPX. If u don’t, then tbh ur not in the game so idc about ur opinion. $ADA community welcomes u with open arms

Idk, probably hanging out with friends and family outside enjoying their time ^_^
The fact that only 2% of American households are paying for AI is insane to me. What the hell are those other 98% of people doing? lol

Don't forget that even if something is on the path to -80% lower you can't get violent 30-40%+ spikes on the way there. their yields are spiking, ton's of concerns circulating the media no their ability to meet interest payments. Even Chamath scaring the hoes and D.A. Davidson saying it can go to zero Hyperscaler earnings are only a few weeks out, could be a massive risk to the short-side near term

I'm not technical enough to understand that AI math fud going around, but the recent moves in crypto have more to do with other factors and less with that new information $SMH & $BTC

scatterbrain stuff 1. A memecoin's price is the market price of a tail scenario. Full stop. A perpetual call option on collective belief with no expiry or strike. Its value is roughly probability of the big outcome × size of the big outcome (plus some of intermediate outcomes). Take the tail event away and there's nothing to price other than speculation on speculation which unravels by logic and turns the token into a hot potato. Thus, if terminal holders don't believe in the tail outcome that a meme flips BTC, the L1 it's built on, a chipmaker and/or the stock market, it has no value. FTSM or bust. 2. Anyone on CT who clowns on Murad for his recent Token2049 speech should ask himself why not one session out of roughly 200 answers the only two questions that matter: Why is a 17-year-old asset class still a rounding error next to the stock market? Why does almost everyone outside this building dislike crypto? btw. the closest the industry gets to an answer is Day 2, where BlackRock, Fidelity, Nasdaq and Morgan Stanley talk tokenization and Samsung puts USDC in the wallet. Read between the lines. The plan is no longer to make the tokens matter but to put the S&P 500 on crypto rails and collect the fees. Make the technology invisible, hide the wallet, never say "crypto" to the customer. 3. On that note, there's a yuuuge divide in crypto: plumbing-versus-belief split. The rails camp sees crypto as a cheaper, faster back office for TardFi shenanigans such as dollars, treasuries and stonks. The belief camp thinks crypto's point is to create new kinds of assets. If the rails camp wins completely, tokens become a file format, money.pdf . Crypto melts into the back office and the value flows to issuers and incumbents. 4. But also, if crypto mostly becomes rails, then belief tokens become the only genuinely new thing in crypto. Everything else is old stuff moving through faster lanes. 5. Read Max Weber. He described modernity as the steady disenchantment of the world: everything gets rationalized, measured, and turned into a process. The belief camp is trying to re-enchant money. To make it once again carry meaning, myth, ritual, community. 6. The rails camp denies the value of a token in and of itself and it can't even do that properly because it moves belief-based tokens all day (such as tokenized dollars). It just insists the belief must be guaranteed by an institution. Make no mistake. Stripped down, the rails camp is saying that only institutions should be allowed to mint belief. States, banks, asset managers are legitimate issuers and a community of weirdos on the internet agreeing on something new is not. That's a claim about who gets to create value, dressed up as a claim about what value is, so in essence, it's all about permission. 7. For most of history, the value of meaning flowed upward to the patrons who commissioned art, the labels that owned the songs, and, for the past two decades specifically, the platforms that turned a generation's memes, jokes, images, and friendships into advertising revenue. Culture was made from below and monetized from the top. Belief tokens reverse that flow, letting the community that creates the meaning hold a stake in what it becomes. If the rails camp wins, it will have built a better bank. Wow. If the belief camp wins even once, it will have changed who gets to own the value of what we believe together. 8. Fuck the 500

How Murad shill a memecoin on stage! - guy who's shilling an altcoin or L1 that provides no utility or value add to society whatsoever and has no reason to exist

In equity markets: In a Bear Market - Dividend Value typically outperforms, Growth typically underperforms. Investors prioritize today's cash flow over future earnings growth In a Bull Market - Growth typically outperforms, Dividend Value typically underperforms. Investors prioritize future earnings growth over today's cashflow Apply this to crypto and thats your answer for why the recent winners have been winning and what things may look like in the future if conditions get increasingly bullish

Why are people assuming there won't be billion dollar market cap memecoins just because none of the recent launches went the distance in a straight line. Do you realize BTC's not even up 2x, like what are you expecting right now

Ask yourself a simple question, speaking to those paying attn / participating actively. How do can you expect a community form off a fresh launch if what causes demand is external launchpad catalysts, even if there’s no eco token? Are people buying the coin or betting on volume coming back to the launchpad eco? If all people are betting on is whether the launchpad will attract flows again, then y even hold the coin before the catalyst? Y buy a coin at all if a launchpad has a coin? The day pump announced tge, ball knowers know the 1min nuke candle on fartcoin - Smart money exited immediately. That was the beginning of the end for the pump eco with their token being the primary investment vehicle for external flow while also capping ceilings of the ecosystem “No one holds”….but y should they if the above is how the market is structured. Flip shitters, own coins like SPX6900
All tokens are limited by their respective launchpad token SPX6900 has no launchpad it spawned from / rely on / look for help from. Everything is bottom up, grassroots, decentralized - just was your standard broke mf’ers with an idea and willpower to CTO at a time CTO’s weren’t accepted. No creator fee’s, holder rewards, no relying on an external institution (like launchpad), none off that bs. Just a renounced contract, locked LP pool, and a group of ppl with dollar and a dream coming together, forming a community around an idea that still continues to grow 3 years later Coins like SPX6900 are a rare commodity these days and even more difficult to re-create from scratch bc of the current market structure becoming increasingly ADHD and never ending spawning of launchpads. It’s also part of why their ceiling is infinitely higher and keeps going higher as they become rarer and harder to replicate vs. all these other churn and burn launchpad coins ceilings continue to drift lower and lower One is for owning vs the others are for flipping. It’s important to understand this

Said another way Launchpad’s eco coins need to show demand / do well (what you’re saying basically) -> then that drives flows into the launchpad token which starts mooning -> the valuation gap between launchpad token and leading eco coins widen -> flows from the launchpad token rotate to the leading coins and the valuation gap narrows (recent example’s . Zcat, si cate, pons coins on rh etc) -> when the valuation gap narrows to much, incremental flows go to the launchpad token instead of the leading eco coins bc there’s no incentive regardless if there’s a community or not in a eco coin -> launchpad token gets the flows widens the gap again -> the game continues. Then eventually the launchpad coin starts showing weakness -> eco coins bleed / ppl exit. Community coins may hold up better but they aren’t doing well / very hard to attract flow and if they do they have the valuation cap bc of the launchpad token So both your and i’s statements are correct, but the end result we’ve seen is the game stops when the valuation gap between the eco coin and launchpad token is too narrow to the point incremental flows are incentived go to the “shovels play” (launchpad token) which limits the underlying ecosystem to have individual performance. This started when pump announced TGE and made their launch market cap known. Fartcoin nuked the minute that info was released and went below pumps stated launch valuation at the time, repricing below the “shovels” play. But then this ties into the other part of my tweet as well. What are these incremental flows even betting on, the community or the overall ecosystems ability to grow market share. The evidence points to the ladder, so how can a truly individual decentralized community spawn and succeed having this limited factor when they’re caged by this. They themselves commonly complain that the “launchpad” isn’t supporting holders / community oriented coins bc beneath the surface we all know the launchpad token is the primary vehicle for external flows and until that valuation goes much higher even the best coins within the ecosystem are stuck and they voice frustration
