“Let me die,” American photojournalist Heidi Levine repeats to journalists Jasper Nathaniel as they try to outrun masked Israeli settlers who attacked her on Friday while she covered the olive harvest in the West Bank village of Abu Falah, near Ramallah.
Around 80 settlers attacked Palestinian olive harvesters in the village, AP reported. The Palestinian Red Crescent said it treated six people injured in two attacks in Abu Falah.
Levine, a freelancer for the Washington Post, told the Committee to Protect Journalists that the settlers knocked her down and kicked her for at least 10 minutes, even after she identified herself as an American journalist. They stole her camera, phone and bag. She was eventually taken to a hospital in Ramallah.
"The IDF provided cover, with tear gas and machine guns, while the settlers beat" Levine "nearly to death," Nathaniel wrote, adding that soldiers then shot a Palestinian bystander and aimed their guns at and shoved paramedics trying to treat him. AP photos and circulating videos show Israeli soldiers standing over a wounded Palestinian man after they shot him.
Andrey X, an activist also at the scene, said a Palestinian man "saved our lives from the settler-terrorists who attacked the olive harvesters and journalists” armed only with a slingshot.

Ori Goldberg was a thoroughly decent man who lived the “yes, you’re all wrong” meme by standing up to his countrymen every day for the last 3 years. I know it wasn’t easy but he never complained and his courage inspired countless others, including me.

✝️🇦🇲 Today #Christians commemorate St. Gregory the Illuminator of #Armenia.
In 301 AD, Armenia became the first nation on earth to officially adopt #Christianity - a nation that stood for the name of Jesus Christ.
King Tiridates III converted through Saint Gregory the Illuminator, and the kingdom followed.
The Kingdom of Armenia became officially Christian almost eighty years before the Roman Empire did.

Here’s a calendar to show the days @SpeakerJohnson has cancelled in Congress. September 17 was canceled to avoid a vote on my Hegseth impeachment. The last two weeks in September were canceled to avoid a vote on releasing more Epstein files. He’s closing Congress to stop me.

These are just a fraction of the demolished civilian homes in Israel-occupied Houla and Mays Al Jabal.
Israel has been systematically destroying towns and villages in Lebanon. This is an act of genocide.
Americans, your tax dollars are being used to commit acts of genocide and kill unarmed civilians, including children.
Genocide is defined under Article Il of the 1948 UN Genocide Convention as any act committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. One of the five acts is “deliberately imposing destructive life conditions.”
More than 65 towns and villages in Lebanon are still under Israeli occupation and are undergoing daily illegal civilian home and infrastructure demolitions.
