@EvanDennison1
The 1963 Holmes baseball team earned its place among the 50 greatest prep sports teams in NKY, thanks to dominant pitching, disciplined play and a championship run that still resonates more than 60 years later.

Saint Patrick Saints Basketball Coach Lex Turner is retiring.
Turner came out of retirement to coach the Saints the last two seasons. Saint Patrick defeated Mason County this past season for the first time since 2000.
Evidently Estill County's newly-named head boys basketball coach Billy Carson has stepped down after accepting an administrative job at Southwestern, leaving Estill County again looking for a head boys hoops coach.
ESTILL COUNTY WELCOMES BILLY CARSON
The mountains just gained a seasoned leader.
Billy Carson, a native of London, Kentucky and a former standout at North Laurel, has officially been named the new Men’s Basketball Head Coach at Estill County High School.
Carson brings nearly two decades of experience to the sidelines, entering his 17th year in coaching. His journey began at his alma mater, North Laurel, where he spent seven years as an assistant coach, helping build a strong foundation in one of the state’s most competitive programs.
He then stepped into a head coaching role, spending five years leading programs across the 4th and 12th Regions, including time at Russell County (4th Region) and Casey County (12th Region), gaining valuable experience as a program builder and leader.
Most recently, Carson has spent the last four seasons as an assistant at Southwestern, continuing to sharpen his craft and contribute to a competitive program.
Now, he takes over at Estill County with a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a deep understanding of Kentucky high school basketball.
🔥 From player… to assistant… to head coach… and now leading a new chapter.
Welcome to Estill County, Coach Carson.
