Today’s open session featured amazing talks on topics ranging from protein structural prediction to the chemical ecology of ant-fungi symbiosis and genome mining tools!

After a morning on phylogenetics & biosynthetic clusters, the afternoon took us into protein & enzymology structure/function prediction. 🧬
👨🏫 Lectures from Arménio Barbosa (UNL) & Raquel Castelo Branco (CIIMAR) guided participants before diving into hands-on sessions.
Day 2 of the #BlueBio4Future Short Course is underway!
We started with an inspiring session by Hans Singh (Univ. of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa) on phylogenetic approaches for natural product discovery & NaPDo2S. Now, participants are getting hands-on with NaPDo2S & BiG-SCAPE!
