Did you know Doe Garrett of Pickett Co. is the only player ever named MVP of the girls state hoops tourney without scoring a single point? Interesting read: tssaa.org/article/tssaa-cele…
They did it!
Check out our state tournament coverage of Alcoa's fabulous weekend in Murfreesboro with "Unstoppable" and "Jahvin is Him" at blountpressrow.com.
More to come later in the week.
Congratulations, Tornadoes!
The Tornadoes get after it early Thursday, Alcoa opening against Pear Cohn at 10 a.m. CST at the Class 2A state tournament in Murfreesboro. To prime your pump to be up and ready, see "City Boyz" at blountpressrow.com for a little mood setter.
Go Tornadoes!
It’s not everyday you drop 27 on somebody and blow up their squad for seven 3s. To ensure Bekah Gardner’s big night is documented in our files and to wish Heritage good luck this evening, we put together “Buckets” at blountpressrow.com.
Go Lady Mountaineers!
Win or lose, Heritage Lady Mountaineer rallies never get old. Check out "From The Parkway" at blountpressrow.com and see what we mean. Region knockout play begins Monday. Good luck to your team.
The Alcoa Lady Tornadoes are a basketball team that lacks very little. We couldn't find anything. Visit blountpressrow.com and see "An Evening With The Lady Tornadoes" and see for yourself.
Alcoa's Jahvin Carter is more than just a scorer. The guy is a show. Period. Visit blountpressrow.com and see "Crazy Time" as we honor the new Tornado scoring champion with a video we feel reflects one of the great playmakers of our time.
Congratulations, Jahvin.
Alcoa senior Jahvin Carter is more than just a scorer. The guy is a show. Period. Visit blountpressrow.com and see "Crazy Time" as we honor the new Tornado scoring champion with a video we feel reflects one of the great playmakers of our time.
Congratulations, Jahvin.
It's all about getting ready for postseason when it comes to hoops. The Heritage and Maryville girls looked right on track on Friday. Visit blountpressrow.com and see "The Promise" for some visual confirmation.
Not all we wanted it to be, but, after a couple months battling Covid, just getting something on the site again is a win. Visit blountpressrow.com and see "Ice" for our take on the Maryville/WB clash last week. You'll be glad you did.
Alcoa and East Nashville are set for a title game rematch tomorrow at Chattanooga's Finley Stadium. Visit blountpressrow.com and see "The P-Funk All-Stars" for a little something to get you in the mood.
Go Tornadoes!
Been wanting to try our hand at a season-wrap video for a while. After looking over the stats for Maryville RBs Noah Vaughn and Gage LaDue, we put together "How You Played The Game" at blountpressrow.com. Go take a look.
Sorry for the delay with the jamboree highlights. Got some things going on. You're going to want to see them anyway. Grant got nice. Click over to blountpressrow.com and see "Cousin Vinny" and let's get this party started. See you at the games.
What's Maryville look like without Noah Vaughn? We got a chance to see Friday, and they're pretty doggone good. See for yourself in "Vapor Trails" at blountpressrow.com. Wonder if those new Vapors Gage LaDue dropped would lower our 40-time, too?
