I saw something on the metallica subreddit with dates Lars typed out in 1987. He incorrectly said metal massacre was released in February, It was actually released in June and hit the lights was recorded a day before the album was being mastered

"Autism is a spectrum" yeah but don't you think putting geeky and socially clumsy kids and people who outright can't talk and if their Mickey mouse cup breaks they refuse to drink and die of dehydration in the same cluster is a bit of a stretch

The popular ARFF bootleg of the metallica moscow '91 show was edited with MPEG-VCR 3.13 on November 6th 2002. I extracted the raw mpeg2 data from the 2004 ARFF dvd and looked at it in notepad++ and saw the MPEG-VCR metadata and date the data was edited

I still can't find a proper copy of the metallica power metal demo. Most copies take from the 'no life til power' bootleg and that one has the wrong version of hit the lights. I found a higher quality copy of the demo some time ago but still has the wrong version of HTL

Some copies have the no life til leather version, some have the 2nd metal massacre version (Same July 6th session just remixed) and the no life til power bootleg uses a 3rd mix from that same session but with different solos. I have yet to find the April 1982 original

According to Geoff F. Horgan in the liner notes of the 'diamond nights' CD, 3 diamond head singles were recorded in 1978/79. He is incorrect though. 'Shoot out the lights' was recorded in late 1979, but 'Sweet & Innocent' and 'Waited too long' Were actually in 1980/81

There is a lot of lyric mistakes in the booklet as well. Some official diamond head CDs have a kinda bootleg feel to them lol. There are some others with wrong copyright dates. The metal blade records CD of LTTN says it was recorded in 1979 but it was actually March 1980

The metal blade records CD of NWOBHM 79 Revisited uses a vinyl souece for 'It's Electric' and 'Helpless' I assumed the lightning to the nations tapes were digitized in 1990 but I guess I was wrong. Or maybe the other CD doesn't use a needledrop but I don't have it.
