Co-founder @rini_xyz - Building the Vault OS for Hyperliquid

We didn't start out building a product. We started out looking for the best vault leaders on Hyperliquid to follow, since trading it ourselves wasn't working. What we found instead was a market built for closed-end funds, not for what Hyperliquid's liquidity now makes possible. That gap is why rini exists. If you've been in vaults on HL for a while, does this match what you've seen?
We came to Hyperliquid to trade. We stayed to build its vault OS. Here's the whole story.

We said the security review would come before the beta for @rini_xyz. It's done, and the report is public. Handing capital to someone else only works if you can verify the setup yourself. That's the standard we want to be held to.
The security review of @rini_xyz is complete. The Vault OS for Hyperliquid: deploy, manage, trade and distribute trading vaults on Hyperliquid, with custom fees, daily payouts with HIP-3 and HIP-4 access. Read the full report 👇 github.com/shieldify-securit…

This is the question most depositors skip: not "is this trader good" but "do I actually understand the risk behind the number." Good breakdown from @thesogle_
You prolly won't hear this anywhere, so listen.. You don't need to become a great trader to make money in crypto. What you need is to get better at deciding who should trade your capital. Most people spend hours learning setups, trying not to get liquidated and all of that... Meanwhile, there are traders who have spent years doing exactly that. So if someone has a proven strategy, a real track record and better risk management than you do… Why are you trying to do everything yourself? That's where vaults become interesting. You keep ownership of your capital while getting exposure to someone else's strategy. But there's one important question though... How do you know who deserves your capital? Crypto loves PnL screenshots...+1,000% looks great until you ask what happened behind the number. What was the drawdown and how much leverage were they using? Being up 300% doesn't automatically make someone a good vault manager. Returns tell you what happened. That's why depositors need to look beyond the green screenshots and understand the risk and track record behind them. Which makes what @rini_xyz is building very interesting to me. Not everyone needs to become a professional trader. Some are better at trading, while some are better at allocating capital. Rini is building around that connection. The next evolution of trading might not be more people trading, honestly. It might be more people becoming better at deciding who to trade with.

A drawdown with no context isn’t just bad UX. It’s how you lose LPs forever. If you’re managing other people’s money, silence is a product bug.
Ever seen a NAV decrease on your vault and gotten zero explanation from the manager? Legacy vault infrastructure gives depositors a number, not a conversation. No context on a drawdown, no update on strategy, no channel to ask before or after you deposit. rini vaults come with a direct communication channel built in. Managers can reach depositors directly: strategy updates, market context, why a drawdown happened. rini.xyz/#waitlist Would you deposit somewhere that actually talks to you?

Legacy vaults on Hyperliquid were built before HIP-3 existed. That’s why a manager running one is locked out of Nvidia, the S&P, Nasdaq, gold, FX… before they even start. One vault. Every market. That’s the new standard. We built rini so managers don’t have to choose.
One vault with all markets access. Your vault manager can now run strategies on Nvidia, the S&P 500, the Nasdaq, alongside crypto, all from the same vault. That's not a small thing. Legacy vault infrastructure on Hyperliquid doesn't support HIP-3 access, so a manager running one is locked out of an entire asset class before they even start. rini vaults come with native HIP-3 access. If your manager wants to trade TradFi-adjacent assets next to crypto, the door is already open. rini.xyz/#waitlist Would you want your vault manager trading more than just crypto?

On-chain asset management won't scale until it adopts what TradFi got right: custom fee structures, high-water marks, whitelisted access, real accountability to the people trusting you with capital.
Would you pay a performance fee on money you already had? That's what happens without a high-water mark: recover a loss, and some vaults charge you again as if it were fresh profit. rini enforces HWM on-chain. Fees apply only above your highest ever balance, never below it. rini.xyz/#waitlist Who else has been burned by this with the vault legacy stack?

Security first. Then a tight cohort of people who already run real strategies. Then we open it. That’s the only order that makes sense if you want vaults that behave like funds, not experiments. Audit wrapping up now. September is the real test.
The 2026 rini roadmap: 1) Security audit wrapping up now. 2) Beta opens September 2026: 20+ vault managers & traders already in, native HIP-3 and HIP-4 access, custom performance and management fees instead of a fixed rate. 3) Public launch by end of 2026: open to every manager, plus the communication layer between managers and depositors. Not whitelisted yet? rini.xyz/#waitlist Managers or depositors, which stage are you watching for?

Building the next generation of on-chain funds needs proper infrastructure. rini is exactly what vault managers on Hyperliquid have been missing. Excited for the beta. Who’s depositing? 👀
Over the past two weeks we introduced some of the vault managers joining the rini beta cohort: @SystemicStratHL, @DeployFinance, @HyprNeutral, @Pasta_Capital, @Veridoge, @0xWhaleHL, @DefiApes, and more to come. First deposits open this September, when the beta goes live. Join the depositor waitlist: rini.xyz/#waitlist Who's in?

Edge doesn’t sit still. Neither should the vault that captures it. @DefiApes runs continuous research loops → the infrastructure has to keep up. That’s the gap we’re closing with @rini_xyz. Excited to have him in the founding cohort.
"Edge moves. You need to be nimble to keep capturing it." Atum. Built a proprietary strategy tester that runs automated agent loops to generate new trading strategies, hunting for edge in Hyperliquid's markets. Vaults built for one static strategy can't keep up with a leader who iterates constantly. Infrastructure should move as fast as the research does. @DefiApes is part of our beta cohort. rini is where the next generation of Hyperliquid vaults gets built.

"Still no access to HIP-3 and HIP-4." Enri runs Asteroid, one of the bigger vaults on Hyperliquid, $500K+ TVL at its peak. Intraday and swing trader, long and short, over 30 years of experience, in crypto since 2017. Hyperliquid keeps expanding what's tradable. Vaults built on the legacy structure can't follow. @0xWhaleHL is part of our beta cohort. rini is where the next generation of Hyperliquid vaults gets built.

Really interesting institutional adoption signal for Hyperliquid!
CFTC Chair Michael Selig has laid out a concrete regulatory path for bringing @HyperliquidX into the US not by relocating the exchange, but through CFTC-regulated derivatives (see Coinbase Derivatives' self-certified HYPE futures filing). It's a preview of where asset management is heading: once compliant rails exist for DeFi-native venues, core functions like collateral management, settlement and risk transfer can start running onchain: transparent, always-on and auditable in real time. A real signal on how DeFi-native infra could reshape US market structure, not just for trading, but for asset management itself.

HyperEVM custom vaults will be a core component of the next-generation of on-chain asset management
Hyperliquid's tech page just shipped a new architecture diagram: five labeled building blocks under HyperEVM, including custom vaults for the first time. Their own docs on the model it's replacing are blunt: fixed 10% profit share, no customization, limited functionality, build the rest permissionlessly on HyperEVM. The category is named. Who's building the system to run it seriously? rini.xyz
