BITCOIN PROVED PoW WORKS. $KAS IS TESTING HOW FAR IT CAN GO⚡️
$KAS and $BTC share some fundamental principles, but they make very different trade offs.
Bitcoin prioritizes a battle tested monetary network.
Kaspa is pushing blockDAG architecture, faster confirmations, and higher block throughput while staying rooted in Proof of Work.
Here’s where the designs diverge:
Confirmation speed: Kaspa targets sub second first confirmations, compared with Bitcoin’s 10 minute block interval.
Data growth: Kaspa uses pruning to keep node storage requirements manageable. Bitcoin’s full archival history continues to grow.
Mining accessibility: Both launched through PoW, but Kaspa’s architecture aims to make home mining and frequent block rewards more practical.
Security model: Both build on Nakamoto style PoW consensus, but their architectures and security assumptions aren’t identical.
What’s still being built: Kaspa is exploring MEV resistance and stablecoin infrastructure.
Those are works in progress, not finished advantages.
Bitcoin has the strongest monetary track record, Kaspa is experimenting with a different way to scale PoW.
The interesting question isn’t whether $KAS will replace $BTC.
It’s whether Kaspa can deliver on its design goals without compromising the properties that make PoW valuable in the first place.
Different architectures. Different trade offs. Worth understanding both.
If you had to bet on ONE for the next 5 years: $BTC or $KAS?

Privacy coming to $KAS 🤯
Bullish!
Major breakthrough for the Kaspa Privacy Initiative! 💚🚀
Yesterday, we hit a serious bottleneck: generating our full zero-knowledge execution proof on CPU was taking far too long.
So we rented an NVIDIA L40S GPU.
And it worked!
✅ Full cryptographic proof in just 4 minutes and 16 seconds
✅ Independently verified on CPU
✅ Invalid operations correctly rejected
✅ Estimated GPU rental cost: just $0.12
For the first time, we've demonstrated that our complete test-model execution can be cryptographically proven in minutes, at a surprisingly low cost.
And that opens up some exciting possibilities. 👇

51.3% of $KAS hasn’t moved in over a year
kaspa addresses holding KAS:
800,919 → 802,817 in one week
price can do whatever it wants short term
i’m watching what the supply and address data actually do
no guarantees but just on-chain receipts

Already started to buy and DCA into $KAS
but going heavier at the red line and anything under is major buy for me
really think this will revisit ATHs
Kaspa Developer Completes Key Step Toward Private KAS Payments
Kaspa (@kaspaunchained) Privacy Initiative developer Olaf Weller (@WellerOlaf) says a proof of concept for shielded native $KAS has been completed on testnet TN10.
The tests demonstrated transaction ordering, zero knowledge proof execution, and proof based settlement on Kaspa Layer 1.
Next, developers plan to design private notes, commitments, nullifiers, and the zero knowledge proof rules for shielded payments.
Weller stressed that the system has not been independently audited and is not yet a finished privacy protocol.

The Kaspa Privacy Initiative now has its own website!
👉 kpi.cash
A place to discover what we're trying to build: optional financial privacy for native KAS, without introducing a new token or relying on custodians.
You'll find the project's core ideas, principles and latest GitHub developments, automatically updated as the research progresses.
And importantly, there's now a way to support the research with KAS.
I've already invested many dozens of hours into KPI, and while AI makes it possible to move incredibly fast, the work also comes with real costs: a dedicated TN10 node, additional VPS infrastructure, AI development tools and hosting.
I'm happy to invest my time and resources into something I believe in, but this is ultimately meant to become a community-driven, open-source effort.
If you believe native KAS deserves optional privacy and would like to help move this research forward, any contribution is genuinely appreciated.
You can support the project directly at kpi.cash
And of course, ideas, technical feedback and contributions are just as welcome as donations.
Let's see what we can build together!

0.2 KAS went from Kaspa to Ethereum with no signer in the middle. On mainnet. As a test.
@KasperoLabs burned 0.2 KAS, proved it and the Kaspa PoW above it in RISC Zero; an Ethereum mainnet contract verified the proof and minted 0.2 wKAS. Test only, capped, unaudited. No minimum-work threshold yet; the next version adds about an hour of level-30 blocks.
@michaelsuttonil flagged what's left: the proof must show the block was chain qualified (on Kaspa's selected chain, not just in the DAG). He sketched a possible route. Not solved yet.
Also merged, unreleased: @IzioDev's #1074, covenant transactions from WASM.
Words the intern may not use today: trustless, breakthrough, live bridge. They're on a sticky note on my monitor. Day 1 of the sticky note.
