What none of the Media are understanding is how involved Danielle Smith was behind the scenes in manipulating the petition and referendum process.
Prior to the November 2025 AGM Danielle Smith Would text Jeff Rath on a relatively regular basis.
On June 30, 2025 Smith sent a text to Jeff Rath by mistake that was obviously meant for Thomas Lukaszuk.
The text said
“Told you not to submit until the new rules came in. This has to be conducted under the old thresholds”
This text was sent AFTER Lukaszuk had submitted his petition under the old rules and Lukaszuk was already Lobbying to have his petition be permitted to meet the lower signature threshold under the new rules.
Rath responded to Smith by saying that Smith had obviously intended that text for Thomas Lukaszuk.
Smith, obviously flustered tried to lie her way out of it claiming :
“No I meant to send it to you. I told you and Mitch to wait until the new rules came in and it sounds like you did”
The problem with that explanation is that Smith never told Rath anything about waiting until the new rules came in. We were doing it in any event.
The obvious context of this text and the timing of it that Smith was colluding with Lukaszuk to rig the petition process and subsequent referendum against her base in favour of the Forever Canadians.
Of course if what Smith was saying about NOT accidentally sending a text meant for Lukaszuk to Rath (which is less likely) this gives support to what people were saying at the time about Smith being a secret separatist. (which looks even less likely)
The simple fact is that on either formulation - manipulative secret federalist or manipulative secret separatist, SMITH is unelectable.
Understanding who she is as a person, who in their right mind would ever vote for her ever again, on either side of this debate.

🚨 BREAKING: The UCP constituency association for Bonnyville–Cold Lake–St. Paul has voted 10–9 to pursue a leadership review of Danielle Smith.
4 of Alberta’s 87 UCP constituency associations have now backed the move.
Just 22 are needed to trigger a review.

This family wealth traces all the way back to the 1850s.

Private high school.
Prestigious alma maters (LSoE).
He's even related to Justin Trudeau.
Dude isn't just soft.
He's sawft.
Humans need purpose and when you're born without a NEED for purpose...
...you might be inclined to search for it in the wrong places.
And that's why Andy finds himself writing the pablum you see in the post below.
He's never had to build a life for himself - the good life was waiting for him on a silver platter before he was even conceived.
The same can be said for the Jason Kenneys, Scott Reids, Bruce Andersons and Kory Teneyckes.
None of these guys had to struggle to build their careers...
...to build professional networks
...refine their skill sets
...and build a future for their kids.
And yet, this is who is running the show in Canada.
And given that their influence is now inextricably linked to Canada's central nervous system...
...the only viable option citizens have to break free of this is to break up Canada.
It really is the only viable option.
They'll never walk away from the spoils willingly.
