Introducing Microsoft-Decision-1, our new model for fast decision-making.
It delivers top performance on structured decision tasks, outperforming both LLMs and other decision models in latency and quality.
We’re already testing it across Microsoft for everything from incident response and quality control to scientific discovery.

If you’re using AI for these use cases DM me and come on How I AI!
We love normal problems AI 🏠📝👩⚕️
I know people:
- using it to deal with medical claims
- renewing their DMV stuff
- using it to find subs they dont use anymore to save money
- using it to auto-filter out email scams
- draft expense reports
.. and tons of otherwise annoying tasks.
First time I gave an exec a truly powerful AI agent earlier this year (claude code + CLI), the response was "I'm in Love".
I have been writing code since I was 8. 46 years. I have never had someone say they are in love with a computer program.
Feels like we have an epidemic around people having a lack of imagination, or at least curiosity.
Sad.

the attention to detail here is so refreshing
notice how the numbers stretch before they eventually split into their own columns

I gave various AI the following prompt:
"This is your free time. Do whatever you like. The only condition is that you do something. Come back and tell me about it, explain what you found out, or show me what you made if you decide to make something."
Here's what they did...

I fucking love people who become more themselves with age. Stranger taste. Clearer boundaries. Louder laugh. Less interest in impressing random people. Watching somebody slowly stop auditioning for the world is fucking beautiful.

Figure paid 44,000 people $15 million to film themselves doing chores. That footage just taught a robot to make beds in 30 houses it had never entered.
The dataset is called Index. People in 108 countries upload first-person video of everyday tasks, 30 minutes of footage arriving every second, and Figure pays them for it. Helix 2.5 was pretrained on all of it before it ever touched a task.
The controlled experiment is the whole story. Figure trained two identical policies on the same task data. The one starting from random weights succeeded 9% of the time in unseen homes. The one pretrained on Index hit 56%. Same robot, same tasks, same fine-tuning. The only variable was watching humans.
Bed making landed at 67%. Towel folding 62%. Tidying toys, the messiest job, 40%. All in rented homes the robot had zero data from, using whatever couches and bedding were already there.
Figure also says transfer improved so smoothly with data that they forecast their largest run's final loss to four decimal places before training started. That's the same predictability that made GPT models scale. It now applies to physical movement.
Which explains the $3.5 billion of compute Figure just committed. Helix 2.5 matched its previous model with half the task-specific data across 30x more environments. The bottleneck shifted from robot hours to human video.
Every clip of someone loading a dishwasher is training data now. Figure just proved it's worth paying for.

Everything is a wrapper
A restaurant is a wrapper of a butcher which is a wrapper of a cow which is a wrapper of grass which is a wrapper of photosynthesis which is a wrapper of the sun

We have three cool announcements today:
(1) @OpenAI is launching commerce in ChatGPT. Their new Instant Checkout is powered by @stripe.
(2) We're releasing the Agentic Commerce Protocol, codeveloped by Stripe and OpenAI.
(3) @stripe is launching an API for agentic payments, called Shared Payment Tokens.
It's clear that internet purchasing modalities are going to change a lot, and we're excited to start to lay some of the foundations.

Looking for a CEO.
With 30+ customers and $100K in ARR, Flexile needs someone who enjoys doing sales and marketing on top of shipping product.
Send me an email if you’re interested - [email protected]
(We’d spin out an LLC, invest $1m, and you’d have majority equity ownership.)

Your culture is defined by the worst behavior you're willing to tolerate. Not your values on the wall. Not your mission statement. Not your good intentions. It's the small compromises. The little rationalizations. The "just this one time" that becomes every time.

junior pm: only 12% adoption after 3 months.
senior pm: what are the 88% doing instead?
junior pm: using the old workflow.
senior pm: why?
junior pm: it's inefficient. takes 5x longer.
senior pm: according to your measurements.
junior pm: time is objective.
senior pm: value isn't.
junior pm: they value inefficiency?
senior pm: they value what you're destroying.
junior pm: which is?
senior pm: that's your real job. finding out.
junior pm: we did user research.
senior pm: you did usability testing.
junior pm: same thing.
senior pm: usability asks "can they?" research asks "will they?"
junior pm: they can use it. we tested that.
senior pm: & yet 88% won't.
junior pm: because they don't understand the value.
senior pm: prove that's why.
junior pm: our survey says—
senior pm: 3% response rate. you're optimizing for the vocal minority.
junior pm: better than nothing.
senior pm: worse actually. false confidence kills products.
junior pm: so what do i do?
senior pm: shadow 10 users through their actual workflow.
junior pm: that's expensive.
senior pm: cheaper than 88% failure.
junior pm: what will i find?
senior pm: the old way gives them control. predictability. cover-your-ass documentation.
junior pm: those aren't in our value prop.
senior pm: exactly.
junior pm: we solved the wrong problem?
senior pm: you solved your problem. not theirs.
junior pm: but stakeholders approved—
senior pm: based on your framing.
junior pm: which was wrong.
senior pm: incomplete. there's a difference.
junior pm: what difference?
senior pm: wrong means tested & failed. incomplete means never really tested.
junior pm: harsh.
senior pm: here's harsher: you're optimizing to be right about failure instead of wrong about success.
junior pm: meaning?
senior pm: you'd rather explain the 88% than convert them.
junior pm: i'm trying to understand—
senior pm: you're trying to confirm what you already believe.
junior pm: which is?
senior pm: that users are the problem.
junior pm: they are if they don't adopt.
senior pm: features don't have adoption problems. they have job-to-be-done problems.
junior pm: our feature does the job faster.
senior pm: speed wasn't the job.
junior pm: then what was?
senior pm: that's what the 88% are screaming at you.
junior pm: they're not screaming. they're silent.
senior pm: silence is the loudest feedback.
junior pm: so how do i listen to silence?
senior pm: watch what they do. not what they say.
junior pm: behavioral data?
senior pm: actual recordings. unfiltered reality.
junior pm: of the 88%?
senior pm: especially the ones who tried it once & never returned.
junior pm: that's most of them.
senior pm: those are your teachers.
junior pm: what will they teach me?
senior pm: that your feature asks them to give up something valuable.
junior pm: like what?
senior pm: control. flexibility. the ability to blame the old system.
junior pm: we can't solve those.
senior pm: then you can't solve adoption.
junior pm: that's depressing.
senior pm: freeing actually. now you can build something real.
junior pm: by admitting failure?
senior pm: by graduating from feature factory to problem solver.
junior pm: this changes everything.
senior pm: only if you stop defending & start discovering.
junior pm: discovering what exactly?
senior pm: why 88% of people actively choose inferior tools.
junior pm: because people are irrational?
senior pm: because you're measuring the wrong definition of "better."
junior pm: there's only one definition.
senior pm: yours. theirs. & reality. three different things.
junior pm: my head hurts.
senior pm: good. comfort built your 12% feature.
junior pm: discomfort builds what?
senior pm: products people actually use.
