When I started working full time I remember thinking to myself ‘This can’t be the same 9-5 that men use as an excuse to not help their wives.’ Since then I have worked office and manual labor jobs. Yes, some days are more draining than others, but I still have the same thought.
Just a quick reminder that June is Mens Health Month and I have yet to see any of the ‘what about men’ or the ‘not all men’ crowd who love to take up space when women speak up say anything. Some of you are just finding out that it’s mens health month through this post.
It needs to be said: Hard work is not that rewarding. Working twice as hard for 1/2 as much is not rewarding it’s dehumanizing. Loosing weight with health conditions that make it difficult is not rewarding, it's demoralizing. Go ahead, take that shortcut. Seek the help you need.
