One of Tom’s true gifts was his way with words and ability to tell a story that told you more than stats & records, but about people. Words fail me to describe the loss of one of the best humans & colleagues. Grateful for the opportunity to work with him. 💚 to Kim, Sam, Allie
It is with heavy hearts that the Charlotte 49ers community mourns the passing of former Charlotte Administrator Tom Whitestone.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family Kim, Sam, and Allie, and to the many student-athletes and colleagues whose lives were positively impacted by Tom 💚

What makes game day in Cullowhee the absolute best, well, besides EVERYONE in the Catamount Nation... what is at the center of the BEST GAME DAY ATMOSPHERE in the @SoConSports...? Well, if you guessed the "Pride of the Mountains" Marching Band, you'd be right 500 times!
Help us support the "Baddest Band in the Land" and "Back the Pride" with this special USA Today vote for the Best College Marching Band... WHAT TIME IS IT...???

Steve White is a true gem and legend in catamount country. If there is a story, he knows it, and probably wrote it! Grateful to be part of bringing this project to fruition after his decades of work and dedication to WCU. The elevator probably should have been named for him too!
There aren’t many “firsts” that longtime Western Carolina Athletics Hall of Famer Steve White hasn’t been a part of in #CatamountCountry over the past 60 years or so. The Western Skybox was able to provide him with one, though, as the longtime Catamount got to take the first official ride in the much-anticipated elevator to the future “Steve White Media Center.”
