SECRETARY RUBIO: I think what President Trump has exposed is that the number one driver of instability, war, conflict, and the number one obstacle to peace in the Middle East is the Islamic regime in Tehran.

I enjoyed this conversation between Avik Roy (@Avik) of Strive and Danny Knowles on What Bitcoin Did. We don't hear from Avik often enough. He is precise, and the last 45 minutes go into the thinking behind Strive's structure.
A few things that stood out:
Why no debt. The 2025 cohort copied the old convert playbook, borrowed, and got margin called when bitcoin turned in October. Strive watched Saylor carefully when he turned sour on converts (hedge funds buying the notes and shorting the stock) and skipped to the more durable structure: one instrument, SATA, zero debt.
The banker gate. A $100–200M preferred only gets built if you are near $1B of market cap, because below that the fees aren't worth the bankers' time.
Comp. They hired Mercer, then wrote their own rules because Mercer's playbook doesn't know what a treasury company is. Two misalignments to design out: getting richer by diluting a falling stock, and beating the S&P while trailing bitcoin. So bitcoin per share is the KPI, bitcoin is the hurdle, and if Strive misses a dividend or any credit obligation, nobody on the executive team gets a bonus. He says this was designed 18 months ago, before the sector's comp issues came under scrutiny.
The par rule. SATA only raises at $100 or above. That's the real constraint on BTC yield in a bear market.
His final one-sentence pitch: a carry trade plus structured finance. Sell USD preferred, buy bitcoin, split it into amplified common ($ASST) and a $100 instrument paying 13%.
Worth a listen. Link below.

If there’s one thing Strive management has done well, it’s staying focused.
Most people underestimate how difficult that actually is. Having a strategy is one thing, but saying no to distractions, resisting the urge to constantly pivot, and executing on that strategy is another.
Discipline is a massive competitive advantage. Well done, Strive.

Does anyone understand how charmed of a company $ASST is right now?! The absolute luck?!
In August they were trading at $12. That's it. They had to go up over 2x just to force the $27 warrant expiration. They hit it, cleared the overhang, and what happened LITERALLY less than 24 hours later?
The entire market dumped, and they are now BUYING THE DIP WITH A $630 MILLION IPO LAUNCH!
You literally could not plan this better if you tried.

As Secretary Rubio warned in July, we are witnessing the resurgence of FAR-LEFT POLITICAL TERRORISM. Secretary Rubio presciently hosted a Ministerial on this because this threat is transnational and organized in networks that cross borders, share resources, and coordinate violence.
Those who excuse, normalize and legitimize it deserve unequivocal condemnation. If you claim to stand for working people, STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR THOSE WHO DESTROY EVERYTHING WORKING PEOPLE HAVE BUILT.
Unlike their apologists, we believe destruction and chaos are NOT legitimate forms of political expression. Arson is not argument. Intimidation is not debate. Terror is not justice. And a campaign to destroy Western civilization is NOT a protest against the price of groceries. Every business burned is someone's life's work destroyed. Every neighborhood terrorized is a community robbed of peace.
Under President Trump and Secretary Rubio, we will never surrender American communities to organized political terror. We will dismantle terrorist networks that threaten our people, disrupt their financing, and bring their perpetrators to justice.
Our streets belong to our citizens. Our future belongs to our children. And this country belongs to the people who built it—not transnational mobs that seek to burn it down.

I use long-term money-supply trends as an important factor in assessing the cost of capital we should be willing to underwrite to amplify Bitcoin. We’ve covered in depth why Amplification Ratio is the key determinant of Strive’s ability to outperform Bitcoin, and why cost of capital matters less. I hope this historical framework, viewed alongside Bitcoin, helps those seeking a deeper understanding.
Scarcity has consistently outperformed debasement over the past 55-plus years. Gold has compounded faster than M2 in every period shown: 9.0% vs. 6.7% since 1970, 9.5% vs. 6.3% since the GFC, and 18.3% vs. 6.5% since COVID. Bitcoin is digital gold, a superior store of value whose emergence remains in its early stages. It should outperform gold as it matures. Our thesis depends on long-term monetary debasement continuing. Our believe is the trend is unbreakable, and as the debt crisis continues to worsen, the outperformance of scarce assets will perpetually accelerate (not decelerate) relative to the dollar in CAGR terms vs historicals.
If you accept that premise, as we do, the only challenge becomes building and sustaining a high Amplification Ratio without blowing up. It sounds simple, but it is extraordinarily difficult. I don’t believe most investors understand nor properly value the moat Strive has built around high Bitcoin amplification with high liquidity, and I don’t expect most to recognize it until Bitcoin makes sustainable new all-time highs.
The consensus investor remains fixated on the cost of capital and fiat cash flows. That is understandable, but it means picking up pennies in front of the debasement steamroller. When you truly internalize the principles of a Bitcoin standard, the focus becomes crystal clear: be maximally and perpetually short dollars and long Bitcoin.

so is this useful at all?
not really. but we can now confirm with certainty that the executable people downloaded matches satoshi's published source code exactly 😄
some other archeological fun facts:
- satoshi used windows xp with mingw
- he upgraded binutils halfway through the project
- he shipped a debug build, but turned on max optimization for one file: the hashing used for mining
- the exe everyone calls v0.1.0 is actually v0.1.1 and was compiled two days after satoshi announced v0.1. the original launch-day binary seems to be lost
github.com/t4t5/bitcoin-0.1-…
i rebuilt satoshi's 2009 bitcoin.exe byte for byte!
afaik nobody has been able to perfectly recreate the executable published in 2009 from source, because we didn't know the exact build environment that was used.
using opus 5.5, i reverse-engineered satoshi's build machine from the binary.
it now outputs an exe with the exact same sha256 as the 2009 release!

France is being burned to the ground by islamo-communist revolutionaries. And yet here in the US we have a mass of negative-information voters here gearing up to vote for these monsters domestic (terror) allies next month.
"But gas is too high!" will never ever been a coherent reason to vote for team climate-crisis-just-stop-oil-ban-fracking-I'm-a-commie-liar-child-mutilator.
We live in the age of HL Mencken: where democracy is indeed the theory that the public knows what it wants and deserves to get it good and hard.
Of course, the French didn't want barbarian hordes to be invited into their country. Their elite did it against their objections. But that's cold populist comfort since the French DO want a progressive welfare state that is completely unsustainable. So, it's not just "the elite" that did this to France. Being burned to the ground is the natural end state of progressivism.

The plan: scare & harass conservatives from participating in politics and government. Run you out of the public square. And re-open the gates to unfettered, anti-Western mass migration. That’s their plan.
