Warning, the coldcard account appears hacked as these illegitimate posts keep going up on there and then being taken down. Do not follow instructions as they lead to a completely faked domain.

The most recent post by ColdCard @COLDCARDwallet is a complete scam and attempt to steal your coins. DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS.
The URL redirect is to a site I have never seen @Coinkite @COLDCARDwallet use ever.
This is out of an abundance of caution. I am not linking the post

Urgent security update: If you’re running version 26.06.7 or earlier, please upgrade to the latest release as soon as possible.
We’ve received reports that attackers are targeting unpatched nodes. Keeping your node up to date is an important step in protecting your funds.
Core Lightning 26.06.8 is out, and every node runner should upgrade.
This release fixes vulnerabilities responsibly reported over recent weeks. There is no embargo period: the release and fixes are available right now.
A number of tests are being held back temporarily to make the underlying issues harder to reverse-engineer while node runners have time to upgrade.
Please upgrade as soon as possible.

Core Lightning has been triaging a high volume of AI-generated CVE reports over recent weeks. Several are real, and a coordinated fix is underway.
What to do now: do not shut your node down. Restart it with --offline.
That flag stops peer connections, so no payments route in, out or through your node. It keeps running, which means it keeps watching the chain and can still act if a counterparty force-closes a channel. A node that is powered off cannot do that, and that is why switching off is the worse option.
On @umbrel or @start9labs this is a startup setting for Core Lightning, not a toggle in the dashboard.
What happens next: signed binaries will be published. Verify the signatures before you install, then bring your node back online. Source and reproducible builds follow afterwards so anyone can audit what changed.

Omarchy is not just a distribution, but it's also a counterweight to all the nonsense that has plagued Linux for far too long. It's a refuge from the clowns and the circus that has been Linux politics since the old institutions got infiltrated. QUACK THAT! 😂🦆
I tend to agree with Brian on most things but not this. After reading more about SLIP-39 I believe @Trezor is doing the right thing by pushing it forward. The only caveot is that I understand the difference between SLIP-39 and BIP-39 and a newer self custody user may not.
Okay, CRYSTAL CLEAR DISCLAIMER: this has NOTHING to do with device security.
I will never recommend a @Trezor ever again. You changed the default mnemonic size to a custom 20 word seed that is not compatible with any other wallets?
Are you fucking kidding me?

Reflections upon the past year of the BIP-110 movement, similarities I noted to the 2017 scaling debates, and numerous receipts to hold folks accountable for their mistakes.

Shit…we’re falling for it again. They want us wasting our time arguing about FUD that doesn’t matter. Inflation on Bitcoin’s never gonna happen. End of story.
Now let’s get back to talking about updates that strengthen the network and enhance Bitcoin’s monetary properties.

UPDATE ON THE FUTURE OF BOLTZ 📢
Over the past couple of months, AI-assisted attackers have been targeting Boltz with increasing frequency, intensity and sophistication. Several of these attacks succeeded, but because Boltz is non-custodial, user funds were never at risk. The entirety of the risk was ours, and as a result of the losses incurred, on August 3rd we made the difficult decision to suspend the service to prevent further damage.
While working on a plan to bring Boltz back over the past days, we had to accept one painful insight: as a bootstrapped five-person startup, we simply don't have the resources to withstand the current level of attacks in the long run.
Today, we are happy to announce that a group of veteran Bitcoiners came forward to help, bringing the capital and engineering power the project needs. They have agreed to take over Boltz and continue the service. Work to find and fix the vulnerabilities is already under way, with the goal of bringing swaps back as soon as possible.
As we want to give them the freedom to introduce themselves in their own time, we are not attaching any names today.
All original founders of Boltz have stepped down from the company, effective immediately. None of us will have any formal or authoritative role with the Boltz project going forward, and any future open-source participation by us is strictly on a voluntary basis.
We are grateful for the community's support all these years, for the patience and understanding of our integrators affected by the disruption of our service, and to everyone who reached out offering support over the past week.
It was a hell of a ride, and we are proud of our contributions to the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Godspeed to the new Boltz team as they navigate these perilous times. We know Boltz is in good hands.

69 blocks left until mandatory BIP-11O signaling.
Have my fork.observer connected to a mix of 50+ nodes: Bitcoin Core, Knots, BIP-11O, btcd, floresta, electrum, and mempool-space. Also showing which block 20+ mining pools are mining on.
Will start a livestream later!
Planning to cover the start of the mandatory signaling in 1500 blocks on fork.observer/mainnet. Will run a Bitcoin Core node and a BIP-11O node to show the (potential) split.

There is a critical vulnerability being actively exploited on BTCPay Server, which can result in the loss of funds.
Please update your BTCPayServer to 2.4.2 by going to Admin Dashboard -> Server -> Maintenance -> Update & verify the 2.4.2 version string in the footer.
If you are unable to update right away, turn off your BTCPay Server to prevent unauthorized access until you can update.
I've got to say, @w_s_bitcoin is an absolute legend. Since the Coldcard news hit he has been running spaces continuously to help the plebs. Before that he worked tirelessly fighting back against the lies and propaganda of the BIP-110 attackers.
