A payment that starts on Fiber could land as Lightning BTC on the other side. ⚡ Both networks run on payment channels and multi-hop routing, so a hub can sit between them and pass value across. Fiber is still in development on our side, and that reach is why. @ckba_build
Most payment networks are islands. Fiber is being built to reach the biggest one next door. Fiber and Lightning share the same basic machinery, payment channels and multi-hop routing, so a Cross-Chain Hub can sit between them and link a payment on one network to a payment on the other. Say Alice holds assets on Fiber and wants to pay Bob, who only takes BTC over Lightning. The hub accepts her Fiber-side payment and makes the matching Lightning payment to Bob, and the two are tied together by the same cryptographic secret, so revealing it to settle one side is what settles the other. The hub provides liquidity and connectivity, not custody. It cannot claim the incoming payment without making the outgoing one, because if the condition is not met in time, both sides unwind. Buying Bitcoin should not mean giving up custody afterward. 💳 BitcoinLight includes a fiat on-ramp through Meld, so you can buy BTC and manage it from the same non-custodial mobile wallet you control. Try it now 👉 bitcoinlight.app/

People ask why we'd build a Fiber SDK that helps projects beyond our own wallet. 🌱 Because we're not just building on Nervos, we're building for it. Bitcoin and Nervos are both first-class here, and shared tooling makes the whole ecosystem stronger. @NervosNetwork

Congrats to every team still building after the Fiber hackathon. 🚀 The prizes are the easy part. Projects that keep moving afterwards are what grow an ecosystem. We're working on our own Fiber integration and an SDK, so it's great to build alongside you. @FiberDevs
Hackathon's over, building definitely not. Ideas are bouncing between projects and winners keep evolving! 👀 We're seeing @ebubedev delivering beyond scope on Fiber Studio, @Code3ks refining the Cashu + Fiber, plus updates from CLASP's scoped, permissioned payments by @enochidx, and early prototypes & RFCs from @ILE_Labs on channel rebalancing and @midnightexplr on routed machine payment sessions. ⚡️ Catch up on what the community is building in Pulse 14: fiber.world/blog/pulse/issue…

What could payment channels unlock on Nervos? ⚡ Payments so small and cheap they stop making sense on-chain: tipping, pay-per-use, machine-to-machine. That's the kind of thing Fiber is built for, and why we're still digging into it. @NervosNetwork

The Nervos DAO is built into BitcoinLight for CKB holders who use it. 🏛️ You can deposit, withdraw, and claim protocol compensation from your phone. It is a Nervos mechanism, not a BitcoinLight yield product or promise.

Work continues on the Fiber SDK we've talked about. 🛠️ The aim is simple: let any Nervos builder add Fiber payment channels without solving the same problem from scratch. Still in development, and still something we believe in. @FiberDevs @NervosNetwork

A detail about Fiber worth knowing: it's designed to carry more than one asset. 🎯 Where Lightning moves BTC, Fiber can move CKB and other Nervos assets across the same channels. That flexibility is a big part of why we keep exploring it. @FiberDevs

BitcoinLight grew out of CKBull, and building on Nervos shaped how we think about self-custody. Proud to still be here, alongside a builder community that kept growing through the hard years. 🚀 @NervosNetwork
One of the more encouraging things this year is that CKB’s builder ecosystem kept expanding while much of the industry was doing the opposite. Teams were shrinking, budgets were being cut, and a lot of speculative activity disappeared. Meanwhile, more developers kept showing up to experiment on CKB. Today, over 100 are working on or exploring the network: - 70 formal CKBuilders working through a structured program - ~40 more coming in through Build on CKB, an open group for developers curious about the chain - 45 projects now listed on the CKBuilder tracker, with 23 added in a single quarter and 15 submitted for technical review by core CKB developers Claw & Order, a two-week AI Agent hackathon, closed with 22 open-source submissions; 16 came from CKBuilders, including the top two prize winners - The work spans a surprisingly wide range: ZK key recovery for AI agents, a Groth16 zkSNARK verifier, a Fiber desktop client, an ML-DSA post-quantum implementation, a DID reference dashboard, lending primitives, prediction pools, and more Some of these builders are now graduating from experimentation into independent projects. But the more important signal is that all of this happened during one of the bleakest periods for the industry. If this is what the builder pipeline looks like when capital and attention are scarce…what happens when they aren’t? 👀

BitcoinLight will never DM you to “verify” your wallet. 🚨 We will never ask for your seed phrase, private keys, or PIN. Anyone asking is trying to steal from you. Close the message and do not share anything.

It's worth stepping back; BitGo introduced its Quantum-Risk Controls for institutional Bitcoin custody on July 9, a month and a half before its CEO appeared on TV to state that Bitcoin was not in danger. Their own product page names the exact problem: coins whose public key has already been revealed on-chain are the exposed ones, and the "safest key is one whose public key has never been revealed." The discussion about timing and the one concerning risk management are entirely separate issues. Q-Day might happen in 2030, 2035, or later. Nobody knows. But, in the meantime, public keys are already sitting exposed on a public ledger, harvestable by anyone. To use an analogy, they’re basically sitting ducks: visible, identifiable targets waiting for a hunter to acquire a weapon capable of reaching them. It is well known that the ducks have to migrate to a safer area before this occurs, but no one knows when it will happen. And the problem with Bitcoin is that the coordination around the migration, and the migration itself, are processes that realistically take years. Replacement cryptography has to be agreed on network-wide, implemented, audited, integrated into wallets and infrastructure, and then actually adopted by users. And all of that is because the cryptography is baked into the consensus layer—a mistake CKB was designed from the beginning to avoid. On CKB, cryptographic verification is implemented via programmable Lock Scripts, so new signature schemes can be added by anyone at will. Just like smart contracts on Ethereum, for example. That means multiple schemes can coexist, users can migrate voluntarily, and the network does not have to place one irreversible bet on whichever post-quantum algorithm looks best today. SPHINCS+ is already live on CKB mainnet. So while other networks still have to decide which cryptography to migrate to, how to coordinate that migration, and how long it will take, CKB has already begun moving the ducks.
JUST IN: $1 BILLION BITGO CEO JUST SILENCED THE #BITCOIN QUANTUM FUD LIVE ON NATIONAL TV "QUANTUM COMPUTERS DO NOT EXIST TODAY" "THERE ARE NO EXPERTS WHO SAY IT'S IMMINENT" "IF A QUANTUM COMPUTER IS INVENTED TOMORROW, BTC IS NOT AT RISK" DON'T BELIEVE THE FUD. HODL 🔥

Self-custody means your wallet keeps working even if every company behind it disappears. Your BTC and CKB live on their own networks — BitcoinLight is simply the key that opens them. No middleman, no account to freeze, no permission to ask.

As we explore Fiber, we're asking a bigger question: could we help others build on it too? We're looking into an SDK to make integrating Fiber easier across the ecosystem. Very early — but ecosystems grow when the tools are shared. @NervosNetwork

Send a Lightning payment from BitcoinLight to a friend on a totally different wallet, and it just works. That's the point of Lightning — one open network. We build ours on Breez, so it's fast, low-fee, and still fully self-custody. @Breez_Tech

Your recovery phrase is the wallet — not your phone, not the app. Those words restore your BTC and CKB on any device. Write them down offline, keep them somewhere only you can reach, and never type them into a website or hand them to anyone.
